“spinning cogs in a content machine”

There sure seems to be an uncanny resemblance between the NCAA’s amateurism protocols and FanSided’s business model, no?

Wonder if Don Best from the sports betting site of that name is related to the Best Brothers. If so, I won’t use their injury listing site anymore. Thought I had seen the last of peonage in the 50s, but Fanside seems to have a modern slant on the same ole shit.

  2. I had an offer to manage UGAs site and after the phone call it was clearly evident how absurd FanSided’s model was/is. Pure content farm for nothing. Very similar to SB Nation.

Wait…all those teaser headlines on newsfeeds from Sports Illustrated are written by high school kids working for free?! And here I thought it was just better journalism than what the AJC has been putting out lately.

There is some guy out there (not sure of the site) that’s a high school sophomore at Woodward and he absolutely writes stuff on par with the AJC. I mean that as a compliment, BTW.
