This time, you don’t get a shot of enraged Muschamp, but weirdly enthusiastic Muschamp.
Awkward, not to mention out of character. I can see how the ref was confused.
Have at it in the comments.

Frankly, in that case, the officials should have given them the timeout back and restarted the clock. I figured he was going to go ballistic when they charged him a timeout.

The refs were a little iffy on several things yesterday, but generally you could see them as honest mistakes and also not skewed to one team or the other. As SEC officiating goes, it wasn’t terrible.
You are probably right….but was really beginning to wonder at the start, especially the interference call on Baker. Also looked like LeCounte had in interception that they did not give him. But who knows, sometimes you don’t see everything in a replay that you would on the field. But I begin the wonder early on if the fix was in.. : > )
They made the right call on LeCounte. It was not an interception. OTOH, they screwed up the first DPI on Baker. That was un-catchable.
I thought whatever the call was, it would stand on review. Not enough to overturn either way.
You are probably right, not enough to overturn. Nothing really conclusive watching the replay. Whether he had control of the ball or not & if his foot was in or not. The replay officials probably gave the refs the benefit of the doubt. Hence, “sometimes you don’t see everything in a replay”.
Wished we had of drove on in that last possession, ran the score up….they deserved it imo.
Yeah. The last drive lasted 9 minutes or so? It would have been fun to see them turn JF loose and let him play. Two more scores, I think.
That was very clearly an interception. I don’t know what game you were watching.
The DPI was awful, but it ended up working out because of the pick/scoop & score on the next set of downs rather than a punt.
“The turf looks great! The turf looks great! I knew our ground crew could get it ready for the season even on short notice!”
Not that it made any difference, but they got screwed on that call. I was wondering why he’d call time out 10 seconds before the quarter ended.
After seeing the sign on their sideline indicating the down, for the players, to make sure they knew, and wouldn’t be confused, I assumed Will was simply telling his guys what he was doing.
When Boom was at UF, I thought his sideline antics were really over the top, and detrimental to the team. I have to commend him for making those changes… but I do miss crazy eyed Muschamp.
I wonder if he has calmed down because he realizes he will never win anything big at SC and there is no use acting a fool on the sideline? He’s getting paid huge money, no reason to risk the paycheck by acting like a psycho.
Will knows that kind of behavior affects recruiting.
Exactly. He’s wizened up!
