Of all the teams in the SEC East, South Carolina is certainly one of them.

Gary Danielson’s post-game take on what he saw in Columbia is worth watching simply for the pause he takes when he’s asked that “whither South Carolina?” question.

You know how some games, when its over, you think if the loser had a couple of better breaks they would have had a chance? Well, this wasn’t one of those games. The gap between the two was obviously clear.

And UGA loses 49 seniors and SoCar recruits as well or better.

Gary had to work for that answer didn’t he?

Gary’s is wrong about the Florida D being able to challenge UGa. He made that comment prior the KY game. Wonder if he still feels the same. I don’t think Florida’s D is any better than the one we just saw in Columbia.

I got that he just threw that in after mentioning Ken, LSU and Mizzou with Auburn being the serious game. It’s like he threw them in as a rival that has a good D. In total agreement with you saying that FU doesn’t have that great a D this year.

Btw, it’s worth the watch to see the unbelieving FU fans at the end of that Ken game. They are one sad lot while looking like they were waiting for the ‘Cats to just hand them one, but instead were presented with a late score that literally crushed their unbelieving spirit. Shamelessly, I laughed.

Even if fu’s defense had legit talent (um, they don’t) Grantham is the coach. Gonna be a long season in Gainesville.

Well, to be fair, until we saw that turd Grantham laid in the swamp, we all probably would have said the same. It’s almost the default answer until Saturday night.

But now I really agree with him about Kentucky being a tough out, especially up there. But at least we have Hot Rod to “save our hide”.

I watched it twice.I don’ think SC is a bad team at all. They will give the rest of the SECE fits and based on what I saw Saturday night they may give Clemson a battle.
It’s just that UGA is that much better.

Theey may win some East games, but Clemson will club them hard.

If you believe Clemson is the #2 team in the country, you would be right. I don’t. So, if SC can remain healthy, the game could be competitive. Not predicting SC wins, but the passing game A&M avoided trying to run over the steel curtain group and hung with them. Clemson doesn’t get many tests but they lost to Syracuse last year, and Pitt the year before. They almost lost Saturday night. Think they get a loss or two this season as well. (When will Renfroe’s eligibility ever expire?) Cannot believe I am propping us SC, but it is more about Clemson being vulnerable than how good SC is. It isn’t that they are really good, just that they aren’t awful, but it is a rivalry game and the assumed winner may have an Achilles’ Heel.

They will get curb stomped by Clemson, and they’ll lose to Kentucky, Ole Miss and Texas A&M.
