Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson: "We spend a lot of time on kick coverage. Sometimes if you watch us, you wouldn't know it."
On new fair catch rule: "If I was playing us, I wouldn't use it. I'd return every one."— Mike Barber (@RTD_MikeBarber) September 12, 2018

Is it just me or does he seem like he doesn’t really enjoy coaching very much?

He’s coaching at Tech. How enjoying could it be?

He is almost daring them to fire him……he knows they can’t. It is always everyone else’s fault, he has never made a mistake….even when hiring Defensive Coordinators.

I don’t know if he enjoys it or not, but it seems obvious he just doesn’t give a shit.

Stingtalk is still opining on how the USF loss doesn’t eliminate them from the playoff. If they win out or only lose to us going forward, beat Clemson twice and win the ACC, they are in.
If tech and SC ever play each other, the posting combo of FGF and Stingtalk would be unbeatable.

I’m going to propose an unpopular opinion here: Georgia fans should really like Paul Johnson. And I’m not even talking in the “he doesn’t beat us that often so I hope he stays forever” sense, but, like, as a person.
He’s the kind of cranky, cynical old cuss who, even when he’s happy, is never that happy. I think a lot of us Georgia fans can relate to that; I know I certainly can. He’s got a pretty good sense of humor, and despite his tendency to point the finger of blame at others—especially defensive coordinators—he can be creatively self-deprecating when he has to be. But more than anything else, he clearly hates his job, and appears to be done with GaTech’s administration/students/fan base in general. (Join the club, buddy!)
Don’t get me wrong, I can’t bring myself to cheer for him to win, at least not while he’s at Tech. (If Jesus himself returned to earth and started coaching the Jackets, I’d probably still resent it.) But damned if I haven’t found myself empathizing with him more often than not. On a hatred scale of 1–10, 1 being Vince Dooley and 10 being Spurrier, I give ol’ Paul a 3.5 at most.

I view him like a Spurrier who doesn’t win much. He blames others when he loses and likes to taunt his opponents when he wins. He’s a total classless asshole in my book. I’d give him about an 8 on your hate scale.

I’m sure he’d be in favor of it (h/t to John McKay)
