“No surprises here.”

The surprise here isn’t which offensive line PFF has at the top of the SEC.

Nah, the surprise is that we’re no longer supposed to be surprised to find Georgia there.

It’s a nice feeling, for sure.

Kentucky is third? That’s a surprise to me.

  3. Granthams replacement

    #3 and 4 are a surprise.

I am looking more are who is number 3. Put Snell behind a good OL, against a soft defensive front, motivated and at home, and you have a team that can play keep it away from an explosive offense. KY may be our 2nd toughest SEC game behind LSU, actually, they look pretty equal with everyone having the same personnel. Beware the Big Cat.

Hard to believe we got stuffed twice trying to get 1 yard against Missouri?

Certainly didn’t help to run one with Herrien up the gut, baffling some of the personnel decisions made by Chaney. I believe I heard one of the talking heads say that when UGA puts the TE in motion to the inside to help block, we always run to that side. If so, we should motion him away and take defensive players away from the pile. Also, I know we have big dudes up front on the OL, but they can become obstacles in situations like that, why not utilize our speed to get to the perimeter a few times, or trust us to make an easy throw off a play fake? God forbid we flip one to either of the 2 TEs we have in those formations. We just seem so damned predictable, need to go away from tendencies enough to make DCs keep so folks out of the middle. Sorry, just cannot get over Chaney who has a very large box of crayons to play with.

Predictable? I thought we have analysts on staff to prevent that!

Honestly, I’m fine with being predictable in games we’re clearly the better team. I’d rather keep the wrinkles a secret until they are needed. And hopefully that won’t happen until the SEC championship game or at least LSU. Even if we have to show some more stuff against LSU and say Auburn, I’d like it if the new stuff is used very sparingly. If all goes well, then our toughest games will be after the regular season and that’s when I’d expect Chaney to break off from the predictable.

Surprising to me? That 3 of the top 5 are from the East.

UGA is only 2 spots above UK, this line is horrible, who is this Pittman and why does he still draw a check?

  8. DoubleDawg1318

3-5 shock me, especially Auburn considering they lost 4/5 starters from last year.

This leads to this question. Our DL and LBs were more than adequate vs. the #4 ranked OL…what happened vs. Mizzou?

  10. Russ

Where is Mizzou? I thought their big, strong line was why we couldn’t stop their running.

    Carolina is #4? Wow.

The SEC is weak from 4-14.
