When advanced stats go boldly beyond where no man has gone before

Check out Brian Fremeau’s score projection for today’s Georgia-Tennessee game.  Prepare to be gobsmacked.  (Not that there’s anything wrong with that.)

I see a lot of numbers here. It might involve math, and I am opposed to math. Even the idea of the possibility of math.

Somebody explain it in terms a 5 year old can understand.

Ok, so we win 50-0? Argh, you made me look at lots of numbers before adequate coffee. Just tell me 50-0 and I’m happy.

I think the projection is 50-0. I don’t know about that. I see Kirby calling off the Dawgs before it gets to that point. Unless he just wants to make an absolute statement to Pruitt and UT to just demoralize them.

The rumor is he won’t because of the recruits there …..and probably some that may or may not be on the fence. If we are in the position to keep scoring, I hope we do.

Please let it be so. If ever a team needed to be beaten 50 to zip it is 10RC. I hope we kick out their last tooth.

I’m fine with 50-0. I just hope this isn’t the week that Tennessee decides to grow a pair. Can’t see them winning, but I don’t want any doubt in the outcome. Send a message.

Same here, the game always makes me nervous….seen too many times in past years where the snuck up and beat us. Also not looking for them to have 6 turnovers, aberration imo. Not sure if we have ever beat them that bad (50-0)….but 41-0 last year and 44-0 in “81 comes close. I just want to beat them, but much rather embarrass them. Too much history, if the shoe was on the other foot…they would run it up imo.

I keep thinking of the year we made fun of Kiffin and assumed a win. Or 97 when we were favored at home. Or the year fulmer and them dropped half a hundred (04 or 05?).

Each of those games we were supposed to win.

I know what the stats say, and I know we’ve got more talent. Weird shit happens in this game, though.

Wow. Our matchup against UT is equal to Bama’s and Aub’s matchups against mid-majors. Man, has the mighty orange program fallen to the lowest depths. It couldn’t happen to a better fan base.

The fellow looks amazing close in some of his other predictions. But 50-0??….I certainly do not expect an ass beating that bad, but I would certainly love it. Nothing too good for those hillbillies. The game I look forward to most, hate those mofo’s.

Tarleton’s quarter. The Dogs need to utterly demoralize their team, coach and especially that obnoxious, trash fan base.

I’m ok with hanging half a hundred in a shutout.

Anyone notice Kentucky is favored over the Dicks…er….Cocks? UK may be the second best team in the East and we have to play them at their place.

I seriously think they may be the best competition in the East. If their QB finds a better passing game, they could become irritating. They have a pass rush and run game. No match for the Dawgs in the end but competitive.

I’m under house arrest so I can’t get out to share football with friends. I’ll need my fix here with internet friends…so, in continuing football talk…in other games.

The match up UF vs MsSt. Which teams show up? UT made UF look better and UK made MsSt look bad. This may be a close one.

Ole Miss vs LSU – if the OM offense gets on track it could put pressure on Burrow to keep pace. OM’s defense is really bad but if the LSU offense self destructs, this could be a closer game than expected.

How about 82-0? Records are meant to be broken…

The reality is that cresting 50 isnt happening because Downing is going in when the game is out of reach. We can’t afford to lose a qb trying to be obnoxious.

Something like last year will do.

Could KS name the score? Probably. But unless TN gifts us 7 TOs, and I don’t think they will, we won’t see 50-0. First, it isn’t Kirby’s style. Secondly, we are banged up with more difficulty ahead of us so we play the backups early. And last, a lot of this is based off the FU game last week which was overstated by the ball security issues. Had Florida won 21-17, the expectations would be UGA by 20.

Thing I hate about this matchup is UGA cannot win perception wise. If we blow them out it was expected because Florida did, and 50-0 like projections. Also, it raises the whole East is weak and UGA doesn’t play anyone comments. TN will play hard in a losing battle, Pruitt will have them focused this week. Their OL is so bad, the offense is toothless so we won’t learn much about any improvement in our run defense. I think we cover but wouldn’t be surprised if TN scores at the end to get back to keep the loss under 30.
