You don’t have to tell a Georgia fan that the Dawgs always get Vandy’s best shot when the ‘Dores are big underdogs.
Vandy is 11-10 ATS in 21 road underdog spots during Derek Mason's tenure. The #Commodores are 14-8 ATS w/ 3 outright W's, including 17-16 win @ UGA in '16, when 'dogs of 8 points or more on Mason's watch. This is tied for 3rd-richest 'dog spot of Mason's tenure.

“And Georgia fans, don’t be turds. Enjoy this. Soak it up. It’s awesome. If you don’t win this year, it’s still not a failure. It’s a heck of a run. Back-to-back in the Playoff era hasn’t been done. So, to ask for a third I feel like it’s gluttonous. I feel like it’s not OK. But we’ll be in the mix.”-- David Pollack, On3.com, 5/9/23
I just hope that Vandy doesn’t bring their band, if it knows how to play Sandstorm. Otherwise, one would hope the half of the team and all the coaches remember what happened 2 years ago on the way to taking care of business.

I think the fact the game is at night will add a little juice and energy for the Dawgs. I think the last time they came to Athens for a night game they got bit.

Maybe because it’s a night game, the student section won’t empty at halftime (I’ll admit my daughter sitting on the north side came to sit with us on the south side for the remainder of the game). 4th quarter Krypton under the lights is rapidly becoming one of my favorite traditions. It needs about 90,000 participants on Saturday night regardless of the score.
That Gurley run in 2012 was spectacular.

Well, if it’s another huge line, I wouldn’t bet on the Dawgs to cover. Dawgs win by two scores, but I predict more farting around to get there.

Russ, I agree with you, reluctantly. That seems to describe almost every Vandy win I can remember, and my football memory goes back the late ’70s.

Georgia must do a better job of blocking back side and protecting the football. Can’t expect the ball to bounce our way five times in a row every game.
