Outcoached and outplayed is no way to go through SEC life, son.

This team has made the same mistakes all year long but they didn’t play a team that could take advantage of them until today. The players didn’t execute but the coaches sure didn’t make things any better. Just an embarrassing showing all around.
This. This team played no different than it has all year, just against much better competition. Exposed.
And Fromm is a DGD but he should’ve been pulled at half. Role reversal from the NC.
You’re right..they played the same sputtering, schizophrenic offense that they’ve played all year…this time in spades.
They played worse than they have this year. Mistakes and bumbling..
I think they had the worst day in years. LSU was good, but not that good. Georgia just had a really, really, really showing of he old adage that, “When it rains, it pours”. It poured today. It was absolutely the worst effort, top to bottom, that we’ve seen in years.
Coaching. Specifically, game preparation (including mental preparedness) and game day coaching (play calling and strategy…making wise decisions) is what carries the day against good opponents. Coach O nailed it.
Eh. Tua had done more than hand off all year. Fields wouldn’t even keep on the option today. He wouldn’t even call his own number even though the coaches give him plays to do it.
I know everyone wants to do the Bama comparison but this team isn’t as good as Bama’s. Our defense can’t carry and our OC is saving Swift and Holyfield for something, I don’t know what. I thought it was for the tough stretch but that started today and they had 19 carries.
Holyfield finishing the game with only 7 carries is coaching malpractice.

Without a doubt! I haven’t understood our offensive approach at all this year. We’ve had flashes and I don’t just mean flashes of success. Of familiar play calling. We did in this game and abandoned it. What? Because we failed on a fake FG and were down 3-0 instead and 10-0 of being 3-3?? So we spend most of the rest of the game playing right to the strength of LSU’s defense. Meanwhile, Swift and Holyfield are well rested while we’re undefeated and playing in Red Stick mid-season. Fromm is over here getting pulled every 2nd down and thrown back in on 3rd to face the wolves. We already used up the same plays/formations and they’re often smothering our WRs but keep on keepin’ on. I am really surprised he’s had trouble getting rid of the ball this year! Really surprised after last season.
It seems Chaney and Fromm may both be overthinking things right now. Or maybe Chaney is doing it for the both of them. Or maybe I’m tired and talking out of my ass now. Sorry! I’m done for now.
If it helps, I agree on all fronts!
Even at 10-0, I wasn’t worried, but we let it get in our play calling heads. Why Herrien always on 4th and short? That Holyfield fellow looks like he might be able to convert a few of those?
I’m skeptical that Fields was reading those plays.
This. We’ve had warts that got exposed. I don’t mind losing but at least look like a competent team in doing so. Yes, we’ve still got all goals in front of us, but we’ve got to play and coach fundamentally better.
You summed it up pretty accurately…questionable calls compounded by poor execution. Defense looked like they could stop anything..then zip came the failed stop or caught pass. They looked confused and Fromm looked at times completely panicked. Is this just an anomaly or have we seen the real Dawgs?.
And that falls squarely on the coaches. They’ve known our flaws & haven’t done anything to fix or hide them. This is as big of a coaching fail as I’ve seen considering the massive amount of talent & resources that the coaches have at their disposal.
Well, I don’t like to blame outcomes on a single player, and the defense was spotty for most of the game before they finally broke, but Fromm was absolutely terrible. I have almost no doubt after today that Fields will be the starter next year.
Honestly, hopefully in only two weeks.
I definitely would have let Fields take the drive after the punt return when the game was still winnable with the way Fromm was playing today.
Yes, I agree. Fromm was awful.
I can’t say I thought this team was going to go all the way this year. That said. I thought a lot of people in these parts pointed out the worrying signs, and some others were all like “don’t worry, be happy.” I’m not sure how to feel. It’s on one hand what I expected, but on the other, absolutely no comfort in being unsurprised.
People with concerns were laughed off on blogs, message boards, and call in shows with JD and KB
Thank you. I have been screaming all year something is seriously wrong with this team’s execution, but we were told to chill. CKS is on the mother. I bought into that, but he was not on anything tonight. He refuses to adjust the game plan and he refuses to bench Fromm.
JD has never once voiced concern or held a negative opinion about UGA football. Can’t believe he’s stayed on the air this long after the “what color are your panties?” thing.
Jake Fromm hasn’t been on point (his throwing) this season as he was last season. I wonder what’s up?
He’s gotten off to some slow starts, but he hasn’t looked like he did today all year. He looked gunshy and confused, and it’s not like he was under duress very often. Maybe the coaches did a shitty job of preparation, but it wasn’t unreasonable to think he’d settle down and play well. By the time it was clear he wouldn’t, Georgia was already in a position where they had to throw to get back in the game.
What’s up is he gets exposed when he doesn’t have a ground game taking all the pressure off of him
That’s the weird thing, though. Our ground game (including today) has been good. The OL has played pretty well, too. Fromm’s field awareness, touch, and decision-making have all been terrible for parts of the first six games and all of today’s debacle. He’s playing like a raw freshman would.
This. So much this. Maybe Fromm is feeling the pressure from Fields but it’s bizarre how he has regressed despite having excellent pieces around him. I know the stats like Fromm, but he’s been bad in pieces and then finally all game today.
I think Fromm’s biggest problem is that he’s just not a very good passer in the middle of the field. That, plus last year having a giant wideout to bail him out on the sideline.
But missing the deep balls is what gets me. I’ll say this: I think he needs to get in rhythm, and I don’t think there were enough safe throws at the start to get him there. Where was the quick out to Hardman all day?
Nailed it. Exactly what I see
Don’t go jumping off of any bridges dawg fans. We have a young team in many spots. Lots of talent everywhere. Sunshine on the way. This season isn’t over. That said, Jim Chaney called an awful game today. This one is on him. Totally IMHO.

Yes, the fact he called several plays with wide open WRs that Fromm conveniently missed was all his fault. He should have run the ball, especially with Holyfield, but Kirby Smart has some say in what they do, too. It’s on Kirby as much as it is Cheney, and it’s on Fromm as much as it is either since he failed to execute when the opportunities were there.
Blaming the coordinator instead of the head coach is a time honored Georgia tradition.
Bah. We could have ran the ball all day. That said I am convinced that Kirby builds for the future…damn today. I hope it pays off.
We run the ball down their throat, call a fake fg, then go full on big 12. Pass first, receiver sweeps, trick plays, and all manner of bullshit. Bonus bullshit: no timeout to review the bs 4th down spot.
I’m a believer in this staff but the coaches and players should be embarrassed. Fix it and beat Florida.
We should have challenged that 3rd down spot. The spot gave them a full yard and it was obvious even in real time. I don’t think it would have made a difference in the outcome though.
Speaking of calls…and granted it probably wouldn’t have helped…the play where Robertson caught..or didn’t..the ball backing out of bounds…my question in no call on the hit out of bounds…and it was close to targeting!!!
Agree. We abandoned the run early. Holyfield had 7 carries. That is f’ing insane. He was averaging 8 yards a carry.
Great summary. We build a monster OL and RBs average 6+ yards a carry – then abandon all of it for a bag of tricks.
I agree Dude. Whoever called the fake FG also.
The fake had to be Kirby … it was dumb. You have the best kicker in the country and try that on 4th and 9. SMDH …
Haha, 4th, AND 9!
Not to mention you put that ace kicker in harms way. Who is the back up kicker anyway?
Brooks Buce or Camarda
Enough blame to spread around…butt he, Chaney, gets the lion’s share for poor preparation…of course, the head coach gets the final blame…poor preparation, poor execution only come from poor practices.
Fields should’ve been in for the 2pt conversion attempt and stayed in for the rest of the game.
In NOLA, fat, drunk and stupid sounds about right.
But look good doing what you do, my friend.
If Fields isn’t better than Fromm by next season, it’s gonna be a long 3 years.
Everything is still in front of them, but my goodness was that an absolute shitshow from the coaches on down today. Fromm was garbage, and Cheney kept putting the ball in his hands instead of Holyfield, who picked up 8 yards every time he touched the ball. The fake FG was stupid… not only because it was giving up 3 easy points, but it also put your best special teams player in jeopardy for nothing. WR’s dropped a couple of the passes that were sorta on target, Mecole tried to be superman and fumbled a KO he had no business returning. Fields came in to run the zone read three or four times, but gave LSU (and future opponents) no reason to believe he might pass the ball. Basically, UGA was being the 2018 version of UGA they have been all year, they just couldn’t out-talent LSU like they had everyone else to this point.
Kirby preaches composure, but nobody had their shit together today. It was about as poorly coached of a football game since the 2016 Vandy game. They have Florida, Kentucky, and Auburn the next three weeks, and they better figure something out if they don’t want this season to get away from them.
Oh, by the way, Kirby has been blown out in each of his three western division road games. Perhaps, he ought to try something different next year.
Like winning? 😁
I can excuse Mecole returning the kickoff. The offense was incapable of getting them back in the game. And how else was he going to get the ball? Fromm was incapable of getting it to him. The fact that he fumbled was just the kind of day it was. It reminded me of the Tennessee-Florida game.
As I’m walking back to the bus for New Orleans, I realized no one told me Mark Richt was the honorary coach for this game:-(
Stop. It’s three years in.
This is all Kirby. RIcht’s guys graduated last season.
I agree 100%, meant it more as a joke to the point of how we were dominated in all aspects of a big game face plant. Plenty of blame to go around from coaches all the way down as many others have pointed out on here. It felt like the later CMR years;-)
No, the last of Richt’s classes are our seniors…
Dawgs quit in the 4th quarter. Different ending if they didn’t fold.
Please no more “win soundly” predictions Bluto
Who quit? I didn’t see any quit. Bad take. Go to bed.
Agree, no quit from any Dawgs…bad case of realism, tho’. And, I think it pretty bad the way most of you have jumped off the Fromm bus…Fields wasn’t the savior today…he was just part of the team.
Fields was part of the team? Could have fooled me. I think I saw him come in two times to hand the ball off.
“Fields wasn’t the savior today”
You know this how? He never had the opportunity to be the savior. God please let this kid transfer to a program where his talents will be used effectively and he will be appreciated by the fan base.
I saw the D quit.
They were worn out. LSU ran 45 plays in the first half.
Reed on the last LSU looked close to quitting. The Standard felt like a moon shot as the game unfolded.
I don’t like losing but this was a beat down. I thought we were over that.
It was 19-9 with Georgia inside the LSU 40. I think they would have pulledit out with a TD there. They would have at least hung around if they’d gotten a field goal. Instead Fromm took the sack, and the game was effectively over. The defense broke from there, but I’m not going to fault them too much at that point.
Agreed. In a game with a ton of bad plays, that was a chance to get back in it, and Fromm made a freshman mistake.
Come on. He only held it for about seven seconds.
It wasn’t a beat down. It was a game that we could have turned around and won at any point through three and a half quarters. We lost because Kirby and Chaney doggedly persisted in leaving the game in Fromm’s hands to the detriment of the whole team. Our defense fought past exhaustion after playing 45 snaps in the first half because of multiple 3 and outs on the offense.
I didn’t see a team getting outclassed. I saw a Corvette being driven by a retard.

Chili, you and I don’t agree on much but I agree with you totally on this. A textbook of coaching screwups.
The coaches totally blew this game. Players played hard and never quit.
What finally caused CMR to lose me wasn’t bad roster management or incomplete teams etc. although I acknowledge those faults of his. No, what lost me was bonehead coaching decisions that turned what should have been wins into losses and I include bad game planning as well as bad in game decision making. I thought we were supposed to be past that now that CMR is gone and Kirby has taken over. What I witnessed today was worse than any CMR incompetence. The UGA team was better talent wise and physically to LSU and coaching incompetence caused the loss. The Dawgs D stopped the Tigers and held them to a FG on their first possession. Then the Dawgs ran all over the Tigers but the LSU D stiffened when we got down to their end of the field. What do you do? You kick the damn FG and tie the game! But no, Kirby had to try a trick play that failed. Then LSU drove the length of the field and scored a TD. Suddenly the Dawgs were 10 points down and Kirby/Chaney and Co give up on running the ball! Morons! We’ve got morons making in game decisions. This is how you squander superior talent. This game was worse than the worst CMR faceplant I ever witnessed. I hope Kirby leans from this because if he doesn’t……….
Entire seasons still ahead of us. Get back to chopping that wood and hopefully get healthy.
Have to win in Gainsville
We don’t play in Gainesville. How could a Dawg fan not know this?
He’s talking aboutGaineville, GA. He’s going to watch the GA-FU game at his brother-in-law’s House.
Well, I was on a bus home from Baton Rouge after consuming a fair amount of bourbon. But you are correct, we don’t play in Gainesville, we play in Jacksonville.
Honestly, seems like a petty point and not really germane to the intent of my original post
Seems like he’s playing scared, afraid of losing his job. Last year he was confident, knowing his job was secure. Fear destroys leadership. The QB competition has created a confidence problem. This isn’t iron sharpening iron.
All year. Maybe last year was more about the guys who came back than anything else because this year’s team has looked poorly coached and unprepared. So much wrong that got exposed today. Individuals make mistakes but 3rd and Grantham and not being lined up and prepared at the snap?? Again? That’s coaching.
LSU made it known they were gonna go for it on 4th early on yet we line up in FG team and burn a timeout just for LSU to punt. Smart got out coached there and there is no way around it. Orgeron made this staff look bad. Fromm has been off no doubt but what is with Fields on 2nd down just to put Fromm back out there on 3rd with the extra pressure. Honestly, I don’t see that helping either QB or this offense. The “no plan” turned into a clear plan that kinda made it obvious today and Fields refuses to keep it so it’s pointless. Average 5ypc on one drive just to throw every down the next drive- 3 and out, punt, defense right back on the field. No idea what they’re doing in practice. Maybe beating each other’s heads in to get tough but skipping the rest? Get pissed or whatever but this team looks poorly coached and prepared. The safeties, ugh, they basically had our defense with 10 men because they completely took themselves out of plays on a few occasions. I see individual talent but not much of a team. I don’t know where the coaching staff is.
All week I heard how great of a 2nd half team this is but we looked bad in the first half of big games last year. The difference was we had the players and discipline to overcome most of it. This year I see a bunch of 5 stars running around aimlessly. I said a couple weeks ago that this 2nd half stretch was gonna tell us more about this coaching staff than anything from last year or any recruiting class. I said it as a good thing. I was dead wrong or at this point I am. We still have everything to play for but we’re now 7 games in and it got worse, not better. Wanna put an end to all the recruiting momentum and success? Shit the bed like that and look mostly clueless.
Jaboo – we are on the same page brother. Not much of a TEAM right now. It can be fixed, but leaders and coaching must emerge.
Well. I’ve been here since I knew what football was. I have nowhere left to go. We do what we do this year. We dominate college football next year. NEXT YEAR is going to get here one day!
I’m afraid “next year” was last year and the refs stole it from us.

Maybe the most depressing true thought to ever grace a page on GTP.
We have two weeks to get ready to remove the Gators’ asses from their shoulders. Make it count.
This loss is on Kirby. Saban would have gone with Fields in the 2nd half. Kirby stuck with Fromm and it cost us the game. I understand sticking with your veteran in a hostile environment, but Fromm was killing us, not helping us. Taking the sack in the 4th quarter that took us out of field goal range was the most glaring example of this.
Also, Holyfield averaged 8 yards a carry, and only got 7 touches. Coaching malpractice.
At the very least, I thought they should gone with Fields and leaned on the run game when they got the ball back in extremely good position on that last meaningful possession.
Dude, Michel was the only option in the Natty last year and Kirby kept going to Chubb even though he couldn’t get to the LOS. He needs to wise up, be flexible, and get a real O coordinator if he wants to win consistently in this conference
Sony was hurt and it got worse as the title game wore on. Chubb wasn’t as effective, as you pointed out. Wish we would have gone with #13 more in title game (and today) as he was running with violence.
Kirby needs to quit the trick plays…
Good news is there will be no more beat downs till our next SEC West opponent in November of 2019 …I feel so much better now!
Our next SECWest opponent is Auburn in about 4 weeks.
He means SEC West road game (Ole Miss in 2016 beatdown, Auburn in 2017 beatdown, and of course today).
For all of you who called for Jake last year over Eason and now calling for Justin over him, do you forget Fromm has played all of 1 poor game in his 22 games? It happens. He held on to the ball too long today, threw wildly other times and didn’t get much help from his supporting cast. The series after Mecole’s punt return changed the whole damn game. The fake field goal was like the South Carolina onside kick attempt … just dumb and we paid dearly for it this time.
I didn’t think we would get outplayed and outcoached today. Today was a team loss … coaches and players. We are missing those guys we lost in the middle of the defense and Big Ben. It happens … just like it did against Auburn last year.
Just like that night on the Plains, this program still has every goal in front of it.
Jake is still a heck of a quarterback, but that doesn’t mean he is the best QB on the roster. We don’t really know what Fields can do besides run the zone read and hand it off, but I watched him several times in high school, and he reminds me of Deshaun Watson with a better arm. His team played Rome, and Adam Anderson was basically a free rusher at the snap every play, and he still balled out. He ran to his right being chased by a monster and flicked it 45 yards for a TD. That is just raw talent, and he has a bunch of it. Fromm is Aaron Murray 2.0, which is still awesome… but Deshaun was better than Murray. Fromm threw 7 passes last year in Jax. I am guessing he will need to throw more than that this year, and the stats say the more he throws it, the less efficient / effective he is. He probably still gives UGA the best chance to win this year… but win what exactly? This team isn’t beating Bama. They may not even beat Florida or Kentucky. If they wanted to win now, Holyfield would have gotten a dozen more carries today. They should at least see what the kid has. What’s the worst that can happen? He throws a couple of picks, misses wide open WR’s, and takes stupid sacks?
Why is 3 at corner getting smoked week in, week out….and Stokes sits?
That my friend, is an excellent question ?
Same reason they left Malcom Parish in for the Natty game last year even though he was getting abused.
Fromm is no Aaron Murray. Not even close. Fromm’s a much better version of Hutson Mason.
I wish we still had Aaron Murray.
No thank you
^^^^What a hopelessly moronical response.
Like I said up thread, people had issues with From this year and it was laughed off. Not so funny right now
+1 And the worse thing for Field’s confidence is to throw him in an atmosphere like Death Valley and watch his confidence fail too.
They looked today like they’ve looked all season… like a talented team who did not put the work in.
If we beat the hell out of Florida in a couple weeks, I’ll feel much better. If we beat fucken Auburn a couple weeks after that, I might even feel downright positive about things.
Continuing to roll Fromm out there to throw ducks and take sacks was bad but Holyfield not getting the ball more than 8 times is insane.
Yeah. This is why it be can’t claimed that Fromm had no support or lost the game on his own. There were other options but they weren’t used.
Whoever thought letting Rodrigo run for the 1st down when the score was 3-0 should be summarily executed.
This hurts me to say… I agree with Derek.
That was about the stupidest attempt at fake juice I’ve ever seen. Christ, we’d just ran the ball down their throats, doing that whole “IMPOSE OUR WILL” thing, and then a trick play?
Talk about identity issues.
That was the most arrogant ass bullshit of a play I’ve seen. Haven’t proved a damn thing, but we’re going to disrespect you in your house by running a trick play with our most vital special teams asset on 4th and NINE??? WTeverlovingF?
I’m not sure if it was all Fromm or if it was LSU’s DB keeping our receivers covered really tight. Fromm missed for sure but our receivers didn’t get separation consistently.
Bad day all around though.
To an amateur like me the LSU DBs appeared like white-on-rice.
LSU DB’s played well, and I’m sure some coverages confused Fromm, but that’s supposed to be his strength, not being confused. He absolutely didn’t see open receivers, and he didn’t check things down when it was there for easy gains on several occasions.
When they snap the ball before you are lined up…. totally unprepared
This game experiment should be viewed as coaching sleight-of-hand. That Kirby, he’s a sly one.
Maybe this game is our last year’s Albarn game. At least I hope so. I’m not convinced yet, but maybe!
I don’t see what Fields is gonna change. He’s thrown a handful of passes and won’t even keep on the read. He hasn’t done anything like Tua did last year. I’ll be shocked if he starts against Florida. Shocked. Besides, Fields isn’t fixing the OL and he’s not fixing Chaney. Fields isn’t fixing the penalties and busted plays. Of course Fromm’s performance stands out but who actually had a good game? Holyfield? This was a team loss. Players and coaches.
At this point, I don’t care who they play and I don’t think it matters with the breakdown in fundamentals. I’d like to see them pick their starters and make them a better team. If some 5 star freshman leaves, so be it. None of it will matter or last if we’re looking so unprepared all the time. This team has been the same all year and that’s the scary part. We can easily lose to AU, UF, and UK but it won’t be because of talent imo. Damnit!
At this very moment the landscape appears doomstruck, but know this: Vandy put 27 points on UF & Aubrun lost convincingly to UT. The title game is UGa’s to lose.
And lose we probably shall, as I’ll be shocked if any SEC team can stay within even 10 of this season’s Bama team.
This was a little worse than last year at Auburn.
Our rush to blame one or two coaches/players isn’t right. It was a team non-effort. We had receivers drop passes, a qb that missed wide open scoring opportunites and had happy feet but for some reason just took sacks…we had a punter who couldn’t keep the ball in bounds, we had defensive backs dropping interceptions, and we had a coach that didn’t realize he had the big ‘mo early but squandered it on a stupid fake fg. LSU had to be a little discouraged the way Georgia ran the ball on that second posession..so what did CKS do? He made what was arguably the stupidest call in Georgia football history. Stuffing that fake punt was just the medicine LSU needed after being dominated on a bruising drive. They held the ball, they moved the ball, they went for it on fourth down..they were focused and determined to prevail
Coach O is a good coach. Congratulations to him. He knows how to get his kids to focus…and that’s what Georgia’s offense lacks..focus. This offense has sputtered all year and instead of running the starters until they were honed sharp, Kirby Smart has been showing off his admittedly great bench.
I really don’t think UGA is THIS bad. They may not be as good as we had hoped they are, but they just had a terrible, terrible day. Nothing went right. Hopefully this humiliation will be like a cleansing enema and Georgia will come out with corrected vision of what it takes to really be good and not just believe you are because you’re told so. Maybe they’ll beat Florida into deep submission.
I think they will.
This team is better than this. It would be nearly impossible to have everything go this badly again.
Meanwhile, a team that Georgia defeated pretty handily is giving ‘Bama all they want.
Better look again at that Bama-Mizzou game. Nobody is beating Bama.
True..and Mizzo is having a game like Georgia had today..giving gifts to the opponent..fumbles, stupid mistakes, blown coverages. While I readily admit Alabama is no. 1 by a long shot, but their defense isn’t elite.
Kirby was brought in to win a Natty and put an end to the bed shitting
This loss is unacceptable for the #2 in the country.
Just go ahead and say it, same old Georgia
I don’t know if it’s SOG, but if this game is acceptable then somebody ought to call CMR and apologize to him.
The program seems to be going backwards now.
Tap the breaks, bro. 2017 was Georgia best season in almost 40 years.
Is it just me or did the entire game feel like it was a sunbelt team playing LSU? It just felt like the coaches of the #2 UGA Bulldogs felt like we couldn’t stand toe to toe with LSU in Redstick and win so they had to play razzle dazzle football. Razzle dazzle football with our game manager instead of our playmaking qb.
I’m all for Jake Fromm before being QB but watch tape of David Greene and that’s how you utilize Jake Fromm. Fields is not a real threat if all he does is come in to hand off or run.
That’s exactly what the fake FG said to LSU. We weren’t confident. We didn’t think we could score on them. They fed off of it. All on Kirby.
Agree with you both. It was like the coaches didn’t have confidence in our talent level.
And as others have said, we did have guys who were playing well. Should have leaned on them.
We are back to the old UGA. 9-3, 8-4.
Please, drama queen…..
To add on to the Fromm discussion- the biggest thing I’ve noticed this year is that he holds the ball too long and has taken really bad sacks as a result. Last year, he’d chunk it 15 rows into the stands in a heartbeat. Maybe he was young and reacting and this year he’s thinking too much? I’m not sure but that stood out to me early this season.
Maybe Fields should get more of a look but I don’t know about doing it against Florida when he’s done little more than hand off. He may help but I don’t see him making a big difference will all the issues and an OC who really baffles me at times. The offensive play calling did as much to get us behind as anything today. Btw, Swift and Holyfield carried 19 times… COMBINED! Smart keeps saying we’re gonna be physical and run the ball but every game of 2017 has mostly been about the offense we saw today.
Ok, I’m done venting…. for now. I’ll be more positive a week from now but I’ll stew over this one for a week.
Remember..Jake threw it a zillion times against Vandy last week…and our runners were held back for most of the day..almost the first half. Head scratcher for sure.
Some of us noted in Tennessee game that Fromm was holding the ball. We were told to shut up because they won.
I think it’s time to be realistic, he’s not Fromm Brady. The majority of his big plays this year have been throwing jump balls up to athletic receivers or dink and dunks to fast receivers that bust big gains.
Probably time to get Fields in and begin working on offensive packages that fit his skill set. You stand just as good a chance of winning now with Fields running read option as you do with Fromm throwing jump balls. It’s time to scrap the Fromm project and commit to the dual threat QB game.
If they aren’t willing to do that at this point, the Fields family better get started seeing who wants him as a transfer next year.
Oy vey. That sucked. I have nothing more insightful to add.
I watched a young and confused team today. I give credit to LSU playing the game they set out to play. BUT, the constant subs from first to 3rd and 4th team was nauseating. Everyone watching this game knows Holyfield should have 25 carries. Swift needs to be in the game on pass. And a coach, one of these heads, has to man up and tell these kids who’s first team and going to play most of the game. I understand there is a deep talent pool. That being said these coaches have to distinguish to the players who’s playing the most snaps. Too many subs in the game in critical times. I like all the players but nobody can convince me fields and Herrien in tricks the other team into believing fields isn’t running. Holyfield makes that play believable. Coaches are young. Team is young. Coaches overthinking strategy. First teamers need to be named and played as said.
Absolutely..all year we’ve seen sputtering from having blended units in. First teamers aren’t getting the reps they need as a unit to become lethal sharp. Too many ingredients in what should be a simple, powerful sauce.
Seems the coaches are out-doing themselves playing so many.
I agree. This team is having leadership problems and I feel it stems from the coaches telling everyone they can be a leader. They can. BUT, name leaders and let someone take it from them.
Kirby saying there is no plan was literal today. Coaches have to balls up here. Not worry about these kids feelings and name a #1 team. Out loud and proud. Want to be on first team. Take it.
FWIW, we have a different QB coach this year. Not sure that’s making the difference, but Fromm is a different quarterback than last year.
Don’t know how that slipped by me. Who is the present QB whisperer?
I think you may have identified what is wrong with Fromm.
We will never, ever win a national title as long as Jim Chaney is the offensive coordinator.
We’re running the ball down LSU’s throat, so let’s abandon the run in the second quarter. Why not?
The best RB on the entire team (Holyfield) only got SEVEN CARRIES IN THE ENTIRE GAME!
His scheme sucks. It just plain sucks. Against great defenses, he can run those WR bubble screens or sweeps, which were pretty much all of our big plays against bad teams. He doesn’t scheme WRs open. Where are the screen passes? Where are rollouts? WHERE IS REAL PLAYACTION? You know, from under center?
As bad as Fromm was today, Chaney was worse and he did Fromm no favors. Enough with the zone read play. Fromm never keeps. The defense knows this. This is the kind of game that should get an offensive coordinator fired. Here’s guessing we’ll be stuck with Chaney forever.
Chaney seems allergic to the screen play. Personally, I think we should use it more. I would like to see more play action, although I suspect QB’s coming out of high school are pretty terrible at that these days.
It’s over.. Georgia won’t have another game like that.
Beat UF and KY and go to ATL.
Pray for LSU to beat out ‘Bama because we kill this LSU team in a rematch..like Auburn last year in ATL.
Perfect storm..lot’s of blame to go around, but it ain’t happening again..not this badly.
I think UGA murders the gators in Jax.
What happened to UGA today is bad news for Florida and Kentucky.
(It doesn’t take me long to get back to Disney Land, LOL)
But I think this is right.
Today’s game was an abomination and an outlier. It was a perfect storm of bad prep, bad coaching and poor play that won’t happen again.
Georgia goes to ATL this year and the next few at least.
“But NEXT year….”
The eternal UGA fan war cry
Think I’ve overspiked my cool aide, huh?
I’m not talking about NEXT year, Jeff..I think we’ll finish in the top 5 this year. We have a the best shot at winning the East. None of us ever really thought we’d beat ‘Bama this year anyway.
I’m not for one second disputing that today was a disaster, though.
What part of that post said anything about next year? Might want to check your reading comprehension Jeff
Ugly’s last dependent clause referred to the next few years. HOWEVER, you are correct that Jeff totally missed the point of Ugly’s post. I agree with Ugly. Our goal is winning the SEC East and then winning the SEC CG. Had we won yesterday but lost to UF we would be trailing UF in the east. Beat UF and we are 2 games up on it as it stands today.
UGA ain’t beating Florida or Kentucky with an effort like that.
Now that’s funny, I don’t care who you are. Ain’t happening big guy.
For those rolling with the schadenfreude after this result, check the U score: Va 16-13 U! And it has appeared peak Richt ala two late PFs to push Va into FG range.
And also: WVU lost / UW lost / PSU lost … these are advantageous results for the Dawgs.
I don’t care what the metrics say, what the stats say, what the recruiting numbers say, etc. I worried all off-season that we’d take a pretty significant step back this year, and today I feel more confirmed than disappointed. I’ll keep my fingers crossed going into Jacksonville, but I’ve got a bad feeling that in a couple weeks we’ll be in crisis mode after an embarrassing loss to Florida.
I like Kirby. I trust Kirby. But I’m not a believer in either the offensive or defensive coaching staffs. All the 5-stars in the world don’t mean a damn thing if you can’t put those players in a position to make plays and win games. Chaney was unbelievably bad today.
We’ve had to come from behind in nearly every game against similarly talented opponents. The game with the most evenly matched opponent, we standard a great lead. I’ve vented but
I’ve vented and worry about losing momentum but having to come from behind so much has shown how good the program can be while also showing there is still a bit left to do
We looked like a Mark Richt team tonight. No imposing of our will on others. Just waiting for something to happen … and then react.
I don’t think our team is crap, nor do I think this game was just an anomaly. We’re simply a really good team this year but not a great one. I’m not saying that we don’t have enough talent to run the table the rest of the year, but such hopes might be a bit far-fetched.
Is it possible that last year was an anomaly brought on by soft scheduling, senior leadership, and a beat up Auburn team in the SECCG? Were Auburn the same team, we get beat and play in a mid tier bowl. Oklahoma made some mind boggling calls in the Rose Bowl. Bama sucked with Hurts. Maybe it was all luck and we just gained higher expectations than necessary?
Don’t do that to yourself.
That Rose Bowl come from behind win was an epic win for the ages.
We dominated Alabama for 3 quarters, and win that game but for some brutally bad calls from the refs and Saban having the biggest balls on the planet and being the only coach with enough job security to sub out a QB with Jalen Hurts’ record at that time.
And if we don’t give back an INT after we intercepted Tua, we win the game there too.
Last year was NOT an exception.
Good post. Our best season in almost 40 years was not a fluke. We dominated. We have regressed — especially on offense, but we’re not in crisis mode. I’m interested to see how the coaching staff reacts. We’ve got to do something about our QB situation and offensive identity.
On defense, I’m not sure we aren’t already playing close to our potential (which is a bummer).
Watching the A&M—USCjr highlights and i think it’s a shame we don’t use Nauta like A&M uses Sternberger. I feel like a huge weapon is going to waste.
It seemed that Nauta was the onlyreceiver consistently getting open.
Just watched the replay. The offensive line had its worst game in pass pro but we just didn’t make the plays that were there to make. 11 misses 4 on the first drive. The fake was just dumb on the second.
Played hard but played stupid. Defense played well enough to win. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. This was not like the last 2 sec west away games where we were just punched in the mouth. We just had a bad day every way you could have one.
I don’t think this performance is part of any systemic problem. We’ll be ok.
Good analysis, Derek.
The fake field goal call was dumb.
There are many overreactions on this thread- I’ll chalk it up to alcohol. Now, if we mess up Jax they will have some valid points.
It sure was. I don’t get that. CKS says that 16 of the last 18 they rushed off the end and gave up contain. Fine.
Still it’s 9 yards. You’re down 3-0 in the first. It’s one of your best players doing what he doesn’t do well and putting him at risk.
If we’re up 20-3 and its 4th and 2 and you know they need a block, maybe.
It put us down two scores and I think it took us out of the game mentally from top to bottom. Just a terrible decision. Reminiscent of the onside kick last year vs. USC.
Stop trying to be fucking cute. Pick your spots. When in doubt trust that we’ve got better football players.
One thing I want to know is whether 7 has the choice to give it to 5 or not on the 2pt play. The reverse or reverse pass was there. The keep was not.
Amen to all that.
Also, Holyfield was fired up and ready to have a career day. Its a shame the coaches didn’t see that and feed him.
Yeah, I agree as well. It is hard to accept the RB rotation that kept 13 from getting into a groove, the misses by Fromm, and the time of possession working against us. Our poor D was just hammered.
Thinks the Hasselwood decommitment cost us this game. Kirby wanted to show that we are committed to the pass. This offense could’ve hat 300 yards rushing yesterday.
Interesting take. Whatever the hell happened at least we have 2 weeks to right the ship. I expect we do and are some satisfied Dawgs after Florida .
If you had to pick one game on the schedule to lose, this would be it (not factoring in those that traveled and spent a ton of money).
Did you see the pictures the LSU fans were posting after the game? Orgeron sitting outside talking with fans? That was our 5 star running back commit Emory sitting with him.
I didn’t see that coming. Hopefully this was our bad game this year. Kirby and co. Have to stay with the 1s and 2s. Got to KEEP your best players on the field. Both sides of the ball. We ran the ball well enough to win but you do a fake field and tell the other team trickery is how we’re gonna beat you. It’s time to win games not satisfy egos.
Chaney abandoning the run game that LSU could not stop is just mind blowing.
Whatever happened to “run till they stop it?” Was that a successful strategy all those many years, or did I just imagine it?
Kirby was not on it yesterday..
That said, I been thinking 11-1…
I watched us get embarrassed in regular season games in 2012 and 2017 and still come within a nose hair of a national championship, so I’m not throwing in the towel yet. Maybe all that means is we’re destined to lose another heartbreaker to Alabama, but I do expect the Dawgs to get their act together and play well the rest of the way.
What’s disappointing is the egg-laying we became famous for under Richt hasn’t stopped under Kirby. We’ve now lost a game by 20+ points in each of his three seasons. He’s done so many great things in Athens, but this is one bug he hasn’t been able to eliminate yet. We still have that one game every year where we utterly shit the bed.
All in sec west stadiums too. At least this one was more about total incompetence than just getting punched in the mouth at the LOS. Progress?
LSU ran for 250 yards. If that wasn’t punched in the mouth, it was at least a body blow.
Take 2016 and 2017 and average them. UGA is what it has always been and that’s not changing. They are what they are.
Go back to stingtalk.
Name me a team that doesn’t shit the bed once a year that isn’t Bama. And on this very thread, even Football God Saban has had only one undefeated season in his 22 years as a HC. Ever heard the term “Clemsoning?” Dabo has, and if you say it to his face, you’d better expect his bantam rooster ass to cut you.
Clemson hasn’t lost a game by 20 or more points since 2014, though.
I realize I’m holding Georgia to a high standard. The measuring stick for us is programs like Bama and Clemson, or at least it should be. When those teams lose, it’s always a nailbiter. We, on the other hand, still have a habit of getting blown out at least once a year.
I’m not down on Kirby or the program in general at all. Just would like to see the annual faceplants come to an end. That’s all.
I think CKS needs to look at himself and ask what kind of coach he wants to be. A mindless drone who sticks to his guns when they’re clearly out of ammo or a flexible game manager who takes what the other team gives and goes with what’s working over what some damn film shows. He wants to blame his defense?? The offense was atrocious. He wants to blame route runners?? His QB would have lost the Dr. Pepper halftime contest to an 18 year old female GT freshman. Good teams do not have performances as bad as yesterday. I sense all the Sunday optimism and I don’t blame anyone for having it, but yesterday was awful in every facet of the game. We only have one or two more of those and CKS will lose the only thing he has going for him… the darling recruiting classes.
You have some valid points but I think you are overreacting a bit. If we lose in Jax, I will be concerned.
Just curious- were you for or against getting rid of Richt?
And hiring Kirby.
I am absolutely overreacting. I’m overreacting to your reply. Lol. I just want to beat UF and I feel like my whole cfb world has come crashing down. I’m genuinely worried about CKS ability to coach his team up at this point. Orgeron owned him yesterday. First year coaches at UT and UF have their teams largely unrecognizable from last year and we’ve blown them out of the water on the recruiting trail. UGA just looks like a lot of talent with poor guidance and bad, bad decision making. Whatever. I’m taking a bye week myself. It’s going to be so much fun in Gator Country the next two weeks.
I definitely thought it was time for CMR to move on and I have been 100% CKS without a doubt until yesterday. I’m still 100% CK, but I definitely have some serious concerns right now.
Your handle should be “D as in Duh!” We are 67% underclassmen. Saban, Lombardi, Belichek, no one could take this young a team and get consistency every game. You either need a zanax or some perspective.
Your handle should begin with glue. I have a perspective but because it’s not yours, you feel the need to attack people. Don’t like my thoughts? Skip over my comments. Go find someone else that doesn’t have any problems with yesterday’s performance.
One loss and oh my lord, everybody sucks-the world is coming to an end. Good lord at least the bandwagon emptied. You folks are just as bad as Bama fans. Good grief get a life. Fire everybody, start all over. Pathetic and one wonders why UGA fans are the douche.
Are we sure that Holyfield is a real person and not an android that has a very limited use time before needing a very long recharge?
Since 1900 we have had 119 years of UGA football. In those 119 years we have had 2 undefeated, untied teams, 1946 and 1980.
Nick Saban has completed 22 seasons as a college head coach. He has had just one undefeated season (2009.)
My point is that it is unrealistic for fans to expect to never lose a game. The test of a team is how it responds to adversity. I bet we play great in Jacksonville.
You know, I have that same feeling about Jacksonville. You know how people said LSU would be pissed off and show out after that Florida loss? Oooohh-WHEE, if our boys aren’t pissed off as hell and ready to take it out on some Gator ass after they’ve had a bye week to stew about it, then we truly aren’t worth a shit. As it is, I think it’s going to be a slaughter of gators that even the cast of “Swamp People” will recoil in horror.
Before the D gets a complete pass, the lack of preparation to handle the HUNH was astonishing. More than all our other flaws I think this cost us the game. Truly Granthamesque and maybe the key area Kirby and Tucker should have fixed in game. For as horrible as our O and ST play was, if we don’t let LSU move the chains like that we did pull close in the 3rd to have a shot.
This was a bigger coaching fail than anything I’ve seen in years and simply should not have been.
I don’t think anyone is necessarily expecting undefeated, but I can’t recall the last time Alabama was run off the field in such a fashion.
I’m sure it must have happened in the last 5 years, but most of their losses seem to have been more competitive than a 20 point blowout.
It’s been more than 5 years since Bama got beat like we did yesterday. Probably Saban’s first year.
Bama never loses like that. Kirby has trouble getting the ship righted when things start going bad. This has been consistent in his head coaching. He has trouble calming the team down when they get behind.
Lost by 14 to Oklahoma in 2013. It was Alabama’s second loss in a row.
While we’re at it, basically the same thing happened to Bama in 2008. Lost the SECCG to FU then lost the Sugar Bowl to Utah. No, Bama isn’t immune to this.
Bama got ran off the field like that at Auburn last year. On thier way to a National Championship.
Ok, I will admit I was completely wrong about this game. Obviously I don’t know shit, so I am going to ask y’all to explain something to me. At the beginning of the game Holyfield was doing his best Herschel imitation. LSU could not tackle him. I thought “all we have to do is keep feeding Holyfield until they go all in to stop him, then we will tear them apart with play action.” Why would you not keep going with the hot hand when LSU was showing no answer?
GD, obviously you DO know shit–more than our multi million dollar coaching staff.
Pretty bad showing…that Saban magic didn’t follow Kirby and his staff like we hoped it would…I think of the DL misses like Derrick Brown (# 5 at Auburn these days) and Aubrey Solomon (#5 coincidentally at Michigan now) and think what could have been…Thank you former coach Tracy Rocker…
the game was so bad I hope the film is burned…
The sad reality is that the middle of our defensive line is weak, and everyone knows it. Hence, four successful 4th-and-1 attempts yesterday. Recruiting hasn’t caught up yet on our hole at DL, and absent some group of supermen coming in, it will take a few years to remedy. We knew we’d have to outscore some teams this season, and yesterday we flubbed any chance to do that. LSU’s defensive backs were good, but receivers of the quality we have should be able to get open a lot more frequently than we showed yesterday. Plus we obviously abandoned the run far too early. I’d have to assume our lack of ability to shut down LSU’s offense rattled the UGA coaching staff. Just my take.
Games like yesterday can really affect recruiting. Now it’s a pattern. Kirby can rally the troops and get back to ATL, and Bama is beat-able, if for no other reasonthat it’s college football and Georgia is one of the 5 most talented teams in the country. And then this was just a growing experience for a young head coach with a young team.
But, man, that was ugly.
He couldn’t have been, which makes it pointless to put him out there. As great as Holyfield’s td run was Fields would have walked into the endzone had kept and that’s not the first time.
So we have one QB who seems scared to call his own number for his one 2nd down play each possession and the starting QB who might be looking over his shoulder. Again, I believe the OC has done a great disservice to both QBs, the offense and the entire team with the play calling and rotation. There is no good explanation for what he did yesterday and what’s really concerning is that Smart just allowed it to happen. Leads me to believe Chaney has full control of the offense and more than usual since Smart is a defensive guy through and through.
LSU hadn’t even forced our hand! How the hell does Smart just watch that? How does he allow the RBs to only get 19 carries. How does he watch Chaney call plays that play to the strength of LSU’s D most of the game. All I’ve heard is “physicality’ “tough” “balance” “impose our will’ while I’ve watched nearly every game be the opposite of that. Some of it is youth but I don’t get the drastic change in offensive philosophy from last year. Kirby keeps saying these things but it’s not really been reflected on the field. This concerns me when it comes to him being the HC. Or it makes me question how much he concerns himself will the other facets of the game.
Yesterday was one of the biggest coaching blunders I’ve seen at Georgia and we’ve seen a few.
Could be worse…
Edit: Aubie running from the Gus Bus right now. https://t.co/cB2IsdfqxW— Ty (@Ty_Co_) October 13, 2018
That lightens the mood. Well done.
What happened to impose your will? Put this loss on coaching. This team has been built to impose thier will. We did that when we RAN THE BALL. I’ve said all along Cheney wasn’t a great hire for a defensive minded head coach to start his career. That showed up yesterday. Almost every single offensive play was ran based on what the defense showed. That’s not imposing your will, that’s them imposing thier will. Sometimes you impose your will when they know what’s coming. We didn’t do that, even though running right at them was very successful. Instead, we put everything on a game manager type QB, and folks that’s all Fromm is or has ever been. That’s not a fault when you use him correctly. In fact Saban has won several Championships with QB’s exactly like Fromm. The difference is that Saban imposed his will by using the team he built, the way he built it. Kirby talks about identity, I think we have an identity but the coaches failed to let that identity play the game and allowed a lesser team set the tone. That’s my disappointment. LSU didn’t get the real UGA. That’s nothing but coaching. The players were on the field to win this game.
LSU got the real UGA. You are living in a dream world.
Like it or not, Saban will be the King of the SEC until he retires or drops dead on the sideline. It will take Kirby another 2 or 3 years to get where Saban is. The thing Kirby needs to learn from this disgrace is that the fan base and the big boys with the money are not going to give him the same wide latitude that they gave Richt, the darling of the fan base. I will give a pass to Kirby on this one, but if the same result happens against FL, Kirby needs to realize that he ain’t going to be given the same leeway that Richt was, and that he better take this ass beating to heart.Like the Tech crowd used to say (1977), Pepper’s hair is permanent but his job ain’t. My practice manager was a Tech graduate.
Great post. Would read again. Sheesh.
Yesterday reminds me of just about every GA/FL loss we’ve had this century.
We still control everything in front of us.
LSU Bama game in Death Valley, so imagine if LSU is this year’s version Auburn from last year.
LSU is not beating Bama. Get real!
People keep saying, “It’s unrealistic to think we are going to go undefeated. Relax.” I don’t think most of the people complaining were expecting to go undefeated. That’s not the issue. Losses happen. The issue is getting blown out. There is no reason at all why we should get blown out once a year like clockwork. That is the issue I have. And don’t give me the “young team” excuse. Some of you guys are just using that to make yourselves feel better. Young team or not, there is no excuse for just getting curb stomped like that.
Mike, I don’t think we got “curb stomped.” I think our coaches, particularly on offense, made some incredibly bad decisions that cost (1) us the game and (2) inflated the score, particularly when we got behind and got despirate. First, the fake FG fiasco. With LSU up by 3 the Dawgs are running through the LSU D like tissue paper. LSU stiffens in their own territory and it becomes 4th and 9. What do you do? You kick the f*****g FG and tie the damn game!! Instead The Bench (I assume it was Kirby) calls the fake FG which doesn’t work and almost gets our All-SEC kicker injured. UGA comes away with no points. Then LSU puts on its only good drive of the game and goes up by10 points! I cannot overemphasize what a bad effect this decision had on the game. It demoralized our team and emboldened our opponent. Plus think back on the game. In the late 3rd quarter the game was 19-9 in favor of LSU. If Kirby had kicked the FG and the extra point after our TD, without anything else being different, the score would have been 19-13. That’s a pretty close game going into the 4th quarter. Maybe Hardman doesn’t feel the need to run it out of the EZ and self-destruct. Maybe we go back to running the ball. Maybe Kirby doesn’t have Fromm drop back and get sacked taking us out of FG range and Rod kicks it through making the score 19-16 with a quarter left to play. I mentioned the going for 2 instead of kicking the extra point above, another incredibly stupid decision. You only go for 2 when it is at or near the end of the game to win or tie. THIS is what happens when you go for 2 and miss–it puts you down another point and you chase that missed extra point the rest of the game. So no, the Dawgs didn’t get blown out. The Georgia coaches got exposed. Guys who are paid MILLIONS of dollars to make the right in game decisions can’t. Maybe Kirby should give back 1/12th of his salary for not showing up mentally. The team would have done better if he and Chaney had missed the game bus.
We don’t disagree except you seem to take solace in the fact that the defense held LSU below twenty until the comedy of errors started and the final score got inflated. Doesn’t matter. Auburn last year was somewhat similar. The final score is what it is and we went on the road and got totally outdone yet again. I’m not calling for firings. I’m not even one of these people who thinks we should start Fields. But Kirby needs to figure this out. all his imposing will talk only to have Chaney take the ball out of the running backs’ hands and start throwing made no sense at all. I can not imagine what he was thinking when he decided to try that fake field goal. To me the game was essentially over after that. I didn’t think that at the time but LSUwenti to a frenzy and Chaney seemed to get brain freeze after that. How can they make such stupid decisions at such critical times? And what was the deal with changing QBs every play later in the game? What was wrong with Kirby and Chaney yesterday?
The scoreboard at the end said it was blowout so it was. How it ended up getting there is only important to the extent that our coaches are willing to learn from it. I like Kirby but he looked like a jackass in that post game presser getting that smirk on his face when he was asked legit questions about the decisions he made. The “you dont know what you’re talking about and I can’t believe I have to talk to you” routine with the reporters only works when you win.
Yea, when you make $49mil guaranteed to coach college kids playing a game, taking shit like a disgraced politician is part of the job.
I used to have more sympathy when these guys were in the paltry $800k range 20 years ago. Not anymore. Dude, you’re the envy of the free world. Get over yourselves (not just kirby).
It’s amazing we still had chances as late in the game as we did given how thoroughly outcoached and outplayed we were. The play that sealed the deal was LeCounte getting absolutely undressed by Burrow on that 60-yd run.
Survived Michael. Finally had power restored, cell phone available, landline available, big time clean up, and most of all hoping the missing at Mexico Beach are okay.
Part of family goes back to PC today to see what is left of business and home.
Panhandle is great til a Cat 4 blows in. Three years in a row we have dealt with a hurricane. Getting a little damn old now.
Thanks to all the power provders and responders and to the people who were impacted. Tough go.
Did see one play this evening where Fromm threw from the end zone and pass intercepted.
Question. Where is the hell was the HC and Chaney on that call. Takes snap inside their own endzone, turns to fake handoff to RB, and turns his head away from LOS and then comes back…well guess what Fromm, from the time your turned you little helmet back to the lOS everything has moved.
That play typified the stupid game plan, the play calling, the execution of plays, and eveything else.
But here is my concern with Smart, Chaney, and Tucker.
You have now convinced me that you and the Dawgs are not man enough to play the best in the west. Blow out in ’17 to Auburn, could no close out Bama and let the current Urange HC put a shut down on Fromm and offense, and now LSU.
You have a big problem Smart. Just maybe we are beginning to see that your OC and DC can not coach and prep.
The current roster can not be deemed highly talented based on Saturday’s game performance
We wait to see if Smart can now make this Dawg edition a legit SEC team.
What we do know is the Gators and Vols are beginning to play, for all you dudes who do not believe and look at the eye test.
This team can not run, pass, or catch. Does not matter who the QB is. So far Fromm is light years away from a Chaney coached Drew Bressse.
They have two long weeks to feel humiliated and totally beaten down by a team that was totally stoned by Todd Grathams very solid defense.
Listened to game on weather radio thru static.
I understand why LSU’s DC is paid 2.5 million. He did a hell of a job.
“Oh man, I’m not even thinking about Georgia. Kirby won 100-0 or whatever today,” Pittman said of his former boss in Athens. -- The Athletic, 9/25/21
