Mike Leach ain’t never played ‘Bama, PAWWWLLL.
If he had, his head would probably explode.

Power. Some schools just wield the power stick and will beat you with it, laugh and dare you to challenge them.
Haven’t we all wondered about calls to the officials over the years?
PAC-12 officials? Hmmm… didn’t UGA have an issue with them last season? I’m old and the memory fails from time to time…
Boy, Leach isn’t holding back. I can’t blame him, with a friggin lawyer calling in to overrule a call.
He may be loony, but he’s right.

GameDay special from his office was outstanding – the life size pirate/skeleton (a gift from Bobby Knight & wife) that talked was EXCELLENT!
Watching Bama Tennessee game is weirdly compelling. In the first quarter, Bama is up 28-0 and 200+ yards to negative yards. Not even close.
Tennessee does have a decent punter.
Oh, and Tennessee finally got a first down due to penalty and the crowd cheered.
When powers insulate themselves from criticism and/or accountability, corruption will usually be the result.
Good for Coach Leach for standing up to them.
Bama does not get called for offensive holding ever. Or defensive holding. Or personal fouls. No wonder nobody can beat those guys.
Really, Dude?? That’s why Bama is a number one? That’s why they’re a power running/pass throwing machine?? Expert analysis, ha!!
Bama has the best players and best coaching staff. But that doesn’t mean that dude isn’t right, too. If you want to beat Bama you have to beat them AND the refs. Been that way for as long as I can remember and I’m pretty damn old. If you doubt this, go back and watch the second half of the 2017 national championship game.
During today’s Alabama/Tennessee game, the announcing crew (Danielson) is pointing out the inconsistencies of the refs calls against Alabama and the Vols. A few times now, he has brought it up. Alabama doesn’t need the help, that’s for certain. (but they sure as hell needed it in last year’s championship game)
It’s 28 to zip after the first quarter.,,Tennessee players dropping like flys..injuries, one ejection..now their QB has been flattened after he threw the ball and may be out of the game. Backup Chryst moved TN right down the field with a few nice throws and scored.
Really just meant to comment on the comments about SEC officiating.
It’s a farce. Tennessee can’t fart out there without a flag. Meanwhile Bama’s O-Line has consistently hooked UT’s defenders around the neck…all…day…long.
Purdue crushes Ohio State and people here freak out when we lose to a really good LSU team. Bah.
God bless the Big10
Yeah..seeing how bad Ohio State looked really kind of put the loss to LSU in a different perspective. But let’s see how much OSU falls in the polls compared to how far UGA fell after the loss to a top ten team.
Hat’s off to Purdue..they really had a great plan and , wow..they sure executed!
I don’t care how far ohio falls, but they have really struggled, or lost, over half the games they have played. Like us, they are a flawed team. Last night’s game was must see CFB, and my runaway favorite game of the year. Don’t know who deserved it the most, Liar, or the fan base. Well, I do know since Urbie is temporary; it is the millions of Suckeyes that make up the most obnoxious group of fans in America.
After a three year stent as an assistant professor at Indiana University, I developed a “to hell with Tech”-like attitude toward Per-don’t. But, now all that is changed. I loved every second of that game and cheered soundly for the Boilermakers. Urban exposed!! Now Herbstriet can concentrate on other teams. Go Dawgs!
We got a bit off track in this thread. The post was about Mike Leach raising hell with the PAC 12 because he caught upper management fiddling with what was going on during a game by pressuring the refs of that game to change a call. Call it what it was Coach–fixing the game. It has been my contention that the very same sort of thing has been going on in the SEC for years. Bama and FU, and to a slightly lesser extent LSU, were getting help from the game officials in every game when they needed it. It was all about the BCS money. Now its about the 4 team playoff money. Get 2 teams in the playoff and if/when they both win the first game then you get those $$ plus both ends of the NCG money. So in 2009 when Arkansas is about to upset FU and screw up the plan, Marc Curles knows what to do–flag FU all the way down the field for FU’s game winning TD. When UGA is about to beat LSU with a great TD catch by Green giving the Dawgs a one point lead with 1 minute to play, out comes the Marc Curles hanky for a phantom celebration call, effectively giving LSU the ball at midfield after the kickoff. The fact that LSU ran it in for a TD is of no import–the refs set ’em up for a game winning FG and it was on purpose. Game fixing became rampant in the SEC during the Mike Slime era. I am convinced that Slime and his minions had meetings where they decided on Monday who was going to win on Saturday and the means of control was the officiating. So lets not be to hard on the PAC 12–they just are emulating what they have seen coming out of the SEC. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I have been calling for a federal investigation into NCAA football for years, starting with the game officials and moving on to the administrators. Put them in front of a federal grand jury and someone would squeal–I guarantee it.
