Never give up.

Easily my tweet of the day…

“May have”?  You mean, like in the distant past?

I won’t be there in person to watch GameDay, but I sure hope there’s a witty 3d&G poster or two in camera shot Saturday.  We’ve earned it.

Itching for a TD while half the defense is waving their arms in the air yelling at each other when the ball is snapped.

It would be better if they held up a towel(instead of a sign) at Gameday with “3rd and Grantham” on it.

Yeah, that first year for us looked like a huge improvement too. Only downhill from where they are now.

Or get a penalty for too many men on the field or substitution penalty after a time out. And don’t get me started on the wheel route coverage..

Don’t like the matchup with UGA’s offense. Grantham will run blitz to get a negative play against the run on first and second down and will likely be able to do so. UGA is pathetic on third and long. Last year we could run on 3rd and 6 or more at times and still convert. Probably need to try that a couple of times given how fruitless the passing game has been in that situation. Best hope for the offense is to bust a 3 or 4 long td’s and hope the defense can hold UF to 21 or under.

Our run blocking simply must be there, for real. There will be sacks, hurried throws, and missed wr openings, but we NEED to run the ball.

I hope we run some to the edges. I hate it when they go up the middle into the teeth of the defense time after time after time with no success…

Seems like short yardage we bring in our big back — Herrien — to go up the middle!

Have we run a true toss sweep all year? I guess it is all RPOs nowadays.

Miller is right. I’ve watched them in several games and they have good edge rushers and blitz a lot. If Chaney calls another game where we just quit running the ball for no apparent reason then he’s dead to me. Fromm has got to get back to throwing the ball away when the line is beat. We should also throw it to the TE’s quickly so the LB’s have to at least figure out what to do. It is going to be a full 4 quarter game barring huge turnovers by either team. Up tempo drives Grantham wild so there is that also.

  6. Someone needs to ship a bunch of those white “run the damn ball” hats to Butts Mehre. Maybe take a sharpie and add “with Swift and Holyfield” below.

Also, for numerous reasons, we should go in with the mindset of going for it on 4th downs like LSU did unless we jump Florida early like last season and are in complete control.

Maybe Todd G can finally make some stops on 3rd but doubt he can on both 3rd and 4th.

After our performance against LSU, think I’ll wait until this one’s over to start trash talking. We all had some laughs about Burrow and Orgeron.

Here’s the one question I have… Is there any level of performance from Fromm this week that gets more Fields in the game? I just can’t shake the thought that Grantham is going to give Fromm fits with our weak pass blocking. Fromm was great with good OL and RB play last year. He just seems panicked and confused this year. Our D can hold on if the O can stay on the field long enough and score some points. I’m just not confident they can.

I am having full on UGA in JAX anxiety this week.

Everybody likes to shit on Gratham, but you cannot deny that he had our D ready 3 out of 4 years to play lights out in this game, and with 2 weeks to prepare…

I’m sure we’ll get their best shot.

Possible rain in JAX on Saturday.
In first year as Gator’s head coach, Mullen has them ranked just below the Dawgs, and even a shot as SECEC.
Smart was nowhere near that in his first year.
Many have concerns about Dawgs offensive coaches.
Chaney appears to be an OC that has trouble with good DCs.

Would not surprise me if Mullen returned a favor to Smart on Gators first play from scrimmage.
Gators are coming to play. Just drive down into central Florida, and get out of the metro Atlanta culture. They are looking to return that score from last year.
Dawgs had better strap it on.
When was the last time Dawgs beat Gators back to back?
