“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
Wait, Urbz has headaches and health problems after a loss? Huh.

Get easy for the “we just feel there needs to be a new direction for our program” sound byte.

“Given the success Urban has had, one should assume that in time, he will make the necessary changes to continue to improve the program itself, releasing that tension. However, that “friction” with athletics leadership is different. Something we’re told hasn’t been there in the past.”
If you’re not assuming he’s preparing to bail, you haven’t paid attention to Urban Meyer. He’s never “made the necessary changes”.

While I couldn’t GAS-less about Ohio State or Urbie, that is a piss poor piece of “reporting” without any real basis other than “Industry sources” and something Herbie said on the Dan Patrick show.
All innuendo and flatulent.
And what coach wouldn’t look “anguished” watching the shit-show his team put up against Perdue?
The real story here is that Scott Roussel, whoever he is, is trying to make a splash.
“Industry sources” my A.

Those sources are probably Ohio State people, laying the ground work for a possible jettison of said Urban. If he wins out and gets into the Playoffs, then makes some noises all is forgotten. And if he doesn’t those same sources will grow a lot louder.
The “erratic” thing is interesting. Document4d, that’s cause.

The football team captain has already jumped ship, should there be any [significant] early evacuations following their bowl game loss, friction won’t be the phrase that pays for this lovely group.

I assume this is laying the groundwork for the end of season parting of ways that was pretty easy to predict when they decided not to fire him back in August.

The only question I have is where is his next stop?

He has seemed detached all season to me, not just last Saturday. Either silently burning with anger, or told he would be re-instated this year in return for a negotiated resignation amount at the end of the year. Can’t stand the guy, but the fire seems to be gone to me. Good riddance, hope it drags ohio down for years.

It’s like he wasn’t even there for the first few games of the season

I think he feels betrayed. Urban is the Poster Boy for Always Someone Else’s Fault. How dare they not stand behind him in his moment of great need? Ignore the fact that his need was created by his own lies and poor decisions.

I’ll be shocked if he doesn’t resign… He’s mentally ill and I do not say that with malice, even thought I cannot stand the guy… Urban needs help and some rest. He can then come back and coach the Bengals or Browns or Dolphins in a year or two.

I don’t think his sociopathic tendencies are going to go away with some rest.

He’s slowly losing it because he knows he can’t keep running forever. Slowly but surely, Mr. Louis Cypher is closing in to collect the debt Urban owes from years ago.

We already knew he was having problems with his heart. Now it appears his brain might be failing him. Pretty soon we might find he’s also lost his cuh-cuh-cuh-courage!
