You know, I’d feel better about this if they’d come out and say whom they’re protecting.
I keed, I keed… I think.

“And Georgia fans, don’t be turds. Enjoy this. Soak it up. It’s awesome. If you don’t win this year, it’s still not a failure. It’s a heck of a run. Back-to-back in the Playoff era hasn’t been done. So, to ask for a third I feel like it’s gluttonous. I feel like it’s not OK. But we’ll be in the mix.”-- David Pollack, On3.com, 5/9/23

Heard about the shooting but don’t know if it was related to the game, or not. I would think passions would be greater for a Georgia/Florida game than an NFL contest. Hope they got it out of their system before this crowd showed up, and hope the Gaytor fans are clearing the way out of the parking lots by mid-3rd quarter.

Not for the residents of that neighborhood. The shootings were also probably unrelated to the game. It was likely the culmination from events that had happened on Saturday night.

It seems that I’m always reading about violence at NFL games ( and to a lesser degree other pro sports). I seldom see that with college games.

Your Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce folks will protect us, because if something like that happened it might be the one thing that would move the game. I would hate that, but people getting shot is worse.
