Horns down

Typical SEC fan:  Man, wasn’t it bullshit when SEC refs would flag opposing players for doing the Gator chomp while letting Tebow show his ass with that all the damned time?

Big 12 officials:  Son, hold our beers.

You can’t disrespect Texas. I’m pretty sure that’s the unwritten rule. Hopefully Texas finishes the season playing Stanford in a bowl, and Stanford brings their band.

I’m still mad about that. For what it’s worth, Grier spiked the football aggressively before throwing up the sign – so it could’ve been for this spike on that game winner. AJ Green came to mind when I saw the flag come out with only a few ticks left on the clock…

Several spikes of the ball and they never called that, but horns down they did. If they called it all the time OU would never move the ball.

Yep. Noticed Cox got away with a spike for Auburn Saturday, too. There is no way for them to ever get this right and the rule needs to go . Period

It seems to me that the “horns down” hand signal demeans opponents and may trigger some people, causing them psychological trauma.

I think most on this blog can agree that we should keep the football field a place free from the harsh, incindiary tones that create a culture of violence and that the field should be a safe space for athletes of all school affiliation free from these type of triggering, bullying antics.

    Right?

Bullying antics? Like when Kirby imposes our will on some poor opponent?

And what the hell, why wouldn’t UF OR UK allow us to immigrate into their end zone those two possessions? It’s our birthright!

But really, let’s just forget “a culture” of violence, Maybe the football field should just be a safe space, violence free zone itself?

I know, Pac 12 defenses are already there.

What’s funny is that I saw Mizzou chomping all night last night and no flags.
