Bulldog safety J.R. Reed on the job the defense did against Benny Snell: "We understood that Benny Snell was maybe the next Herschel Walker or something like that. We wanted to go out and prove that there’s only one Herschel."

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. Herschel and Holyfield hanging around the program sure must leave an impression. Imagine if Evander had been a DE!

I’d imagine Evander as TE running routes against the Gators, wait… that was Nauta knocking the defender to the ground using a more powerful push than intended.

Evander as a fullback, hitting the hole ahead of HW.

God bless them for that! While Snell is a good player, blah, blah, blah, he ain’t, and never will be, Herschel! No way. No how.

Yep on both counts … I like the UMass game slot and hate the Fech game time (unless it’s in Atlanta).

Nobody is watching our game vs GT, nobody cares anything about GT and this lame game.
More time to rest for ATL is the only benefit…

My problem with it is when we have played at noon against the trade school in Athens, the crowd has been like an FCS game rather than our state rival.
I don’t know about others, but I want the Drought to be thrown on the ash heap of history. I want a Florida-Kentucky type of streak where either they bail or drop to Gof5.

Eh, agree to disagree. I watch rivalry games (Egg Bowl, anyone?) and figure I’m not the only one. Georgia vs UMass? I’m not sure I’ll even watch that one. Is it Band Day when they let all the high school bands come for free?

Fans of UGA will watch the GT game, not many more…

Yes, I watch them too but don’t enjoy it. Nothing game with a program in a free fall. Being at noon every year tells you what value it has on the open market. We are a good draw nationally (‘cepting Montana of course) but still all networks try to hide this clunker.

They don’t have that anymore and, when they did, the bands didn’t get to watch the game.

Needs to be swapped with the UMass game. Nobody (except maybe family members) cares about UMass. The tech game at least has the rivalry aspect, and will get a few eyes for that alone.

4 PM on the SECN is where they bury SEC games that won’t get eyeballs outside of the fanbases of the teams. It “competes” with the SEC Game of the Week on CBS without competing. Noon on SEC is actually a slightly better timeslot in SEC hierarchy.

Noon? WTF?! Did we just win the MAC eastern division or the sec east?
Is there something in fishfry’s contract that prohibits start times after 12:01 pm on Saturday? Oh sure, he’s okay with a night game – as long as it’s Wednesday!
McG needs to get off his worthless butt and get this game re-set to Saturday evening!

It’s tofu with sauce on a roll. They also smoke shoulders and grill burgers. It’s called knowing your market and they do.

Sorry, my comment’s context was confusing. The tempeh reference was an explanation to PTC about types of vegan bbq. You are correct about White Tiger specifically. Its vegan bbq has used tofu every time I have eaten there.

Saying Snell is as good as Herschel is blasphemous. Snell ain’t even as good as Chubb, Moreno, Michel, Gurley or Hearst. Hampton and Edwards were better too based on what I saw Saturday.

Speaking of Herschel/Snell comparison. Go compare Snell’s block (or lack thereof) to the block Herschel put on a Clempson Player (I think his sophomore year.) Maybe someone can look it up. He just destroyed a LB in pass protection. I can still see it in my mind’s eye.
