“This probably won’t help with coach Dan Mullen’s pleas for fans to fill the stadium.”

Well, that’s certainly one interpretation.  I like to think he’s telling Gator fans he thinks they’re number one.

  1. Stay classy, Gators. He also did a fair amount of patting his back at the end as he skipped around the field pumping himself up. He did the shush motion several times there, too.

This was out of the Gainesville paper…

Down 31-14 late in the third quarter, and unable to stop a potent South Carolina offense up to that point, the Gators managed to pick themselves up off the turf and take command over the game’s final 19 minutes, rallying for an improbable 35-31 victory over the Gamecocks before a raucous crowd of 82,696.

82,696 my backside… There were empty seats all over the place. Even the papers smell of desperation. The title of one article? A comeback for the ages… Really? At home against a 5-3 Carolina team (coming into the game) ?

Oh how the mighty have fallen…

  3. Stuff like this will only lead to more of what used to be off limits- booing players. People already feel more and more entitled to say and do what they want. Cfb is definitely becoming more like the NFL. Little here, little there.

Please don’t boo college players, Dawg fans. And especially don’t cheer when opposing players get injured. It’s just low class.

It is certainly moving toward being NFL Lite, but then most all of this society is becoming far less civil. Saying and doing in your own space is fine, acting civilly in mixed company/groups will never go out of style. Just more classless folks everywhere these days, but “the others” are very much appreciated, even more so now considering what surrounds them.

FU fans were never known for being very classy but they, and TN, seem to be the two leaders in booing their players. FU fans are also jersey wearing NFL types from my experience so booing may be in their DNA. I have no explanation what TN fans have for an excuse.

Both the “fans” and Franks deserve each other.

    They deserve each other.

I think fu has overachieved on the field this season. But their fans are a fricken nightmare. Hopefully, recruiting is gonna be a bitch.

Woooo! We just tied an unranked South Carolina team! Say something! WHAT!

Between this and the “we stopped Georgia 6x at the goal line in the process of losing by three TDs,” Florida players sure do flex over the weirdest shit.
