You think the seniors are going to let the underclassmen half-ass it?

Here’s a bigger clue.
.@RIP_Shod23 (Deandre Baker) says the loss to Alabama in the SEC Championship fueled his decision to play for #UGA in the Sugar Bowl. He wanted to go out with a win with his team. https://t.co/HHVXbwxlKj

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
I hope I may feel sorry for Texas.

That’s a very pleasant surprise. Baker’s probably my current favorite player (and was before he made this announcement). Great player, great Dawg.

Wonder who will be the star to emerge on defense next year. We knew Roquan was great. We knew Baker was great. Neither disappointed. Who is that guy next year? Rice? Davis? Stokes?
I’m also curious about our draft eligible under class men. Holyfield. Reed, Hardman etc Wonder if they’ll stick around.

Doesn’t he have a lot still to show as a WR?

I would think mecole would be a 4 – 5 rounder in the draft. He’s electric but also sub 6’. UGA doesn’t have many, if any, underclassmen in the first 2 rounds. Let me know if you think I’m wrong.

Along with the names mentioned already, I think Tindall may come on and be a force next year.

I’m betting Rice will lead the linebackers, but we’ll have a great set of them. Stokes and Campbell will be great in the secondary and Lecounte should be a great leader/QB for the defense.
The future is bright!

He’ll probably be paired up against Lil Jordan Humphrey and have his hands full. Shut that guy down and the horns won’t have much offense.

Even as a projected 1st rounder, the only knock on #18 is his size/height. Shut down those monster (size) UT receivers and his paycheck only goes up. Deandre could have determined this is the best way to get ready for the draft.

On a selfish note I am happy but being honest I kind of wish he would not. He is a DGD playing or not and time for him to get ready for his next phase of life.

Yeah. but if you’re going to jerk around in the Senior Bowl, you might as well step into the breach with your pals once more.

Thank you, Deandre, for deciding this! This will be an excellent chance to showcase his talent (not that he needs to) one more time. Just stay healthy! DGD!

Good. We will need him against their two big receivers. I hope he has a great game and then gets PAID!
