Nice trend there. Think Kirby might mention that on the recruiting trail a little?

Congrats to DeAndre. I hope it pays off as well in the NFL for him as it did for Roquan.

Who?
Not bad for a former 3 Star recruit.

DeAndre…From now on it should be just “D”. What a great Dawg that we can all be proud of. Great luck to him in the Sugar and esp. in the NFL!

Awesome. He earned it. As much as I love Champ, he’s the best corner I’ve seen at Georgia. Though in fairness, Baker also received better coaching than Champ.

That seems a little like an apples and oranges comparison. Champ played both ways when asked, and let’s face it: He has also been pretty much a shut down corner in the NFL for most of his career. I’m just glad to have been able to watch both of them.

Everybody throws at him… once.
Or, as he said after the USC game, they know him now.

Larry Munson would point out that in two years we’ve lost the best linebacker in the country and the best cornerback in the country.

Well done, and well deserved! Looking forward to seeing him play in the Sugar Bowl.

Should be noted that Deandre has not given up a TD in coverage in 2 years.
If you go back through the list of future NFL stars he has competed against in that span, the Thorpe feels like only a small token of appreciation for his incredible effort. An excellent player and a fantastic teammate (I’ll admit I enjoyed the galled look on Greedy Williams face when they made the announcement and the follow up question on stage to Deandre about why he decided to play his final game rather than skip out early).

Maybe Deebo knows who he is now.

It is a little off point here but all of the big 12 bashers who minimize oklahoma’s accomplishments seem to ignore the fact that ou lit up a Georgia defense with Butkus and Thorpe award winners for 45 points in regulation at last year’s Rose Bowl. I’m not a big 12 fan but those video game scores are not entirely a product of bad big 12 defenses.
All the same, congrats to DeAndre, a DGD !
