This seems fair.

If you wonder why I find the transfer system utter bullshit, here’s just another example.

Shameless.

A school ought to be penalized for doing that — if you block your graduate transfer, any graduate transfer you sign should be treated the same way.

UPDATE:  Shamed.

I don’t understand why schools keep going through the farce.  Is it that they believe this time the kid won’t complain?

Cry havoc and let loose the trolls of war.

Connor Riley gives us the heads up on when it’s exactly time to panic that Kirby Smart doesn’t have a defensive coordinator.

So when Georgia fans should start to worry about the lack of a defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach? I would say Monday, because that would likely mean that the ship has sailed on Elam, who is Georgia’s top recruiting target at this point.

First of all, back to my longstanding point that you don’t make hiring decisions based on trying to obtain or retain a recruit.  It’s a pointless and stupid strategy to let the recruiting trail wag the coaching dog.

Second, are there really kids out there who don’t feel assured by Smart saying the defense will continue on as it has, because… well, because Kirby Smart?

Other than that, good point.

Your 1.16.19 Playpen

As expected, the White House had a political card it wanted to play when it invited the national champs for a celebration.

The kids did their best to ignore that and enjoyed themselves.

In the end, it didn’t matter because as usual somebody managed to step all over the message.

The tweet was taken down, but the damage was done.

Live by the tweet, die by the tweet.  Better luck next time, POTUS.

And with that, the floor is yours, peeps.

TFW you’ve got this hot take you’ve just gotta share

Adam Rittenberg says Georgia’s a loser on the early exits to the NFL front.  That can’t be simply because of raw numbers, because there were plenty of other SEC teams that took similarly sized, or even larger, hits.  (Rittenberg does include TAMU and ‘Bama on his losers list, although Florida doesn’t appear.)

So, what’s the deal here?

Georgia: The Bulldogs had four offensive skill players declare as underclassmen, including their top three pass-catchers, wideouts Riley Ridley and Mecole Hardman and tight end Isaac Nauta. None is rated among Kiper’s top prospects at their respective positions. Would they have left if Georgia passed the ball more? We’ll never know. Quarterback Jake Fromm will have a largely new group of targets in 2019. Running back Elijah Holyfield’s departure made sense as D’Andre Swift remains in Athens and Zamir White returns from injury.  [Emphasis added.]

The Jadon Haselwood narrative has taken root, my friends.  That was quick.

Just rolling in it

Holy mother of crap.

And they still can’t win their conference.

Today, in irony

The irony comes from Martell having to sit out a year while Heisman Trophy candidate Justin Fields starts for Ohio State after he gets his waiver.

You’re the best, NCAA.  Don’t ever change.
