Grantham’s progress

It looks like Todd Grantham is still waiting for that offer he can’t refuse.

If he takes it, no doubt the defensive players who just signed with/committed to Florida will appreciate David Shaw’s point that “The hopscotch approach to college really hinders their ability to have success in life.”  And if he doesn’t, well, there’s always a next time.  Life lessons, for the win!

Gah! I’ll miss him for sure. Who can forget the flapping arms, the 3rd and 20’s given up, the towel boy?

Those moments when Grantham realized he’d sent in the wrong play or his players didn’t comprehend the play on third down, and the flailing, screaming panic that set in just before the snap and a long conversion. Man, good times.

Yeah man. I love me some cornerback looking at the sidelines with upturned palms in the universal sign of WTF as the ball is snapped then the opposing receiver appearing alone in a sea of verdant green turf with sunlight shining brightly off his orange helmet.
Can we do a lexicon entry?
“Wheel Route; (n) A football play guaranteed to gain at least 5 yards more than whatever is required on third down to garner a first down against a Todd Grantham coached defense.”

Man I hope he doesn’t leave UF!!

  4. On this instance, having the option as to stay or transfer should be there for the student athlete, no legal counsel required or maybe available through the ncaa

All I know is that he’s got a hell of a agent.

Looks like those new recruits are just going to have to learn to deal with diversity and one of life’s hard lessons rather than believe you can trust someone offering career advice, counseling, coaching and support.

On the other hand, I fully support if they all could quit now on the gators!

  7. Bright Idea

In the pros Grantham can call plays through a transmitter, so there!

  8. Dawgflan

I see what you did there, Pilgrim.

3rd down and long in the SEC may never be the same again….

  10. Wonder if that would be a step down in salary (even if not down in $/hour spent recruiting) I’d probably accept a bit less to have a life in the offseason.

NOW the Dawgs may have something to worry about when it comes to the gators

Wow, new Bengals HC Zac Taylor must be one dumb m.f.

To be what seems to be a mediocre college DC, he sure can lands some cushy gigs. He must have incriminating info on a lot of people. No one can fall in to shit and come out smelling like roses as often as he does with out help.

For all those who hope 3rd & Grantham doesn’t leave the Gaytors, you’d do well to check the statistical improvements they made from 2017 to 2018.

I’m not a big Grantham fan but I think his complicated schemes would work better in the NFL than in college if only because he would have more time with the players.
