Everyone’s a winner.

Honestly, in reading this, I don’t know whether it says more about Willie Taggart or the NCAA.

So see, coaches really can’t just move whenever they want to.

OK, this makes very little sense to me from the NCAA’s perspective, but why isn’t this just as much of a “Willie Taggart is a moron” story instead of just the “NCAA rules make no sense” story? When Coach Taggart was told that he couldn’t move his coach to a non-on field role why did he choose to go one man short for an entire season instead of just keeping this Kelly guy where he is? If FSU follows the rules the way they’re supposed to, they’re going to have one fewer coach than everyone they’ll face this year. That… isn’t smart.

Not sure I understand the full context here. Is he not allowed to be an on field coach because he doesn’t coach a specific position? If that’s the case, couldn’t they just go hire another on field coach?

The Taggart hire has been a head scratcher from the start.

    FSU is a Charley Foxtrot.
On one hand, it’s nice to watch.
On the other hand, we need them to recruit against UF.

The worm may be turning for the Gators, it’s true. Right now FSU is a five alarm dumpster fire and it’s difficult to say which direction Miami is going to go with the Diaz hire but they certainly aren’t ascendant right now. If a kid is staying home in Florida right now, Florida or UCF look like the most promising options.

FSU needs to get rid of this guy.

So what happens if they violate the ncaa rules? It’s not as if Taggert has many wins to vacate.

It was a rule designed to prevent schools from hiring high school football coaches into off field positions But he can be moved to an off field position next year, so basically they are a coach short for this one season.

From the looks of things, FSU has been short some coaches for awhile now…
