The continuing adventures of if it ain’t broke…

You know, it’s funny.  As much as plenty of us keep grousing about Georgia’s offensive shortcomings, it sure seems like it keeps coming up in favorable mention with a lot of powerhouse offenses.

Maybe Kirby’s got this.

UGA could go 15-0, score a touchdown on every offensive play, get a tackle for loss on every defensive play, and a fixed, significant percentage of UGA fans would bitch.

  2. It is really difficult to have a mediocre offense with a truly superb O-line.

Yes, and that is why I have put that side of the equation to bed as something to be concerned about. I mentioned yesterday my surprise with RBs not lining up to come to UGA and run behind that OL and through those holes. I am not worried though, you don’t have to get the #1 stud in America, the number 10 guy might gain more yards at Georgia. We will be fine on offense at any time you have this level of talent and depth; even the combo of zero risk, and conservative, run-the-clock-out type play calling under the combo of Chaney/Smart couldn’t screw that up.

Our season-long, game avg stats are great and highly respected. It is that 1-game-a-year brainfart that confounds me …the still inexplicable desire we seemingly had to pass the ball down LSU’s throat. Hopefully, that vulnerability now resides in Knoxville.

2018 just felt like a weird season. It felt like we were always competing against this ghost of Alabama/ what we “should” have been given our talent level. Felt like we weren’t happy with 2 touchdown plus wins because “when is this team going to stop dicking around and put it all together ?!?!???” but on the other hand there were legitimately 3-4 plays every game that if we had back we win the game like we “should” have aka 28+ point margins of victory instead of merely 20+ point victory margins.

    I blame Fromm.

Maybe Kirby’s got this. But he ain’t got it how I would do it from the comfort of my Lazyboy. I’m undefeated in my mind over the past 35 years at least.

What were those first & goal from inside the 10 stats again?

  8. T.O.’s, T.O.’s, T.O.’s….us, long sustained scoring drives…them T.O., us, quick score, them 3 and out…us, longish scoring drive…them punt…week in and week out win the T.O. aspect, doing nothing spectacular…it’ll all add up in favor of the Bulldogs!
