The real national title is the won you find in the balance sheet.

I assumed he was referring to the 2020 season but then I saw that Marc Weiszer phrased it a little differently.

I’ll be going to the game. I’m looking forward to Notre Dame coming to town…. yeah I’m excited about the game

As someone who works in higher-ed fundraising, I know McGarity’s got a fine line to walk in that regard—you have to show that you’re in solid enough shape to be worth an investment, while not giving people the impression that you’re doing so well you don’t actually need the money.

But it sure does help to be able to say, “Here’s an actual thing that we recently spent your money on,” followed by “Here’s an actual thing that we’d like to do next.” Thank goodness Kirby is actually prodding McGarity to spend some of that dough, because people are eventually going to lose interest if they think their donations are just going into a giant Scrooge McDuck money bin for the AD to splash around in.

That was good I liked it

I will believe the AD’s statement when I see it happen the next time I get billed for tickets.

Well you can bitch all you want but our season tickets still gonna cost more really and individual game tickets for those that are not season ticket it’s getting more expensive. Hell if I looked back and did the numbers and I’ve been a season ticket for over 20 years it’s jumped enormous
