Hot damn, is Seth Emerson spot on with this ($$):
Georgia is only measuring itself against one team these days, and it’s not Florida. There is only one team that Georgia players wake up thinking about, one team the fan base dreams about beating, one team that occupies a perpetual corner in the minds of anyone associated with Georgia football. And it’s not Florida.
We all know that team. The name has not been mentioned yet in this column, because it doesn’t need to be.
Whisper voice: It’s Alabama. We’re talking about Alabama.
Eyes on the prize, boys. Ignore the noise.
Can remember when we were obsessed in beating UF (Spurrier days), don’t want to go there…..”1 game at a time”.

I don’t think it will happen, but lately I’ve been distressed by this nagging thought: Could we overlook ND?

No way … quite possibly, the biggest out of conference game ever played between the hedges

Oh, great idea. What’s the biggest OOC game ever played at Sanford Stadium? ’80 or ’82 Clemson?

‘82 Clemson would be my choice. Last 2 defending national champions on Labor Day night.

In my years go watching games in Sanford, no doubt. My history only runs back to 69 or so.

’82 Clemson would get my vote for biggest since Yale ’29.

I was there also. Man, almost 40 years ago. Those games were some of the most fun times I’ve ever had.

I wasn’t there in ‘82. Watching Sanford lit up was incredible. I was there to see Kevin Butler kick one 100,000 miles vs. Auburn with a Lake in ‘84.

I’m glad I got my tickets early. I just checked stubhub and its lunacy already. $550 minimum.
That’s more than at South Bend.

This is why I can no longer attend football games.

Yes…Back in the 80’s, probably the most heated rivalry I’ve ever seen. There were some bloodletting games, very intense and hard fought. Too bad it didn’t continue…

ND, UT, UF, AU, A&M, Bama in that order is all that matters this year. Focus.

Vandy, UK, tech and the chickens don’t need to be overlooked. Lose to one or more of them and this could feel like another Richt season.

Richt? He’s retired. 🙂

Those games are important to think about the week of. Absolutely Vandy will not be overlooked because it is the opener, kind of feel bad for the Dores and Mason in that game.

Clemson 82 gets my vote because it was my first game attended ever and I had a sideline pass.

If Mullen doesn’t get us this year, what kind of blowback will he get? Maybe people will just let his BS slide? It will be interesting to see.

I kind of expect Florida to be on a good run when they play us and then we drop kick them. Living here I get to deal with the hype and then no one says anything…

Welp yes, but in a championship setting. But Set is wrong, regardless the real monkey on the back would be SEC WEST TEAMs ON THE ROAD until further notice. But yes Florida is not even on our “circle this game radar” lately.
