“No”, he said.

Boy, it didn’t take long to answer that question.

Top 10 with only 8 recruits. Quality, soon to be followed by quantity.

    Scattered, smothered, and covered, beechez.

Collins is going to be upset that you have co-opted a Tech…I mean a Waffle House Slogan. Tech got to enjoy their 15 minute anomaly where they were ahead of UGA in the recruiting rankings. It was kind of like the guy in a NASCAR race that is running last but stays out and does not pit so he can say he lead a lap. Now that the TRUE leaders are out of the pits, refueled and on fresh tires, Collins (along with ole Mullet head and others) can watch their rear bumper rapidly disappearing in the distance. He will always have that story to tell his grandkids about the time he was leading Kirby for a very, very brief period.

Even better, the commit that did it was a 5 star that came on the same day Florida’s class is collapsing. Absolutely cold-blooded by Kirby and staff, and I love every second of it.

Damn, Clemson is crushing it! Plus they’re likely to add the 5-star DE Murphy from Georgia. It also looks like Bama has a good chance of not finishing number 1 this and may even wind up number 3 in the SEC behind UGA and LSU.

Clemson has both volume and the highest average player rating. I don’t know how many spaces they have but they could break records if they continue at their current pace. I would love to see LSU and Georgia knock Alabama down a peg.

It’s a huge blow that we’re probably losing Murphy to Clemson. I have to think this is a make or break year for Trey Scott and so far it’s not looking great.

Check out this jewel I found on Sting Talk under a thread titled “Hey Dwags look at this” (which of course was a screen shot of their ever so brief lead in the recruiting rankings):

“we have immediately elevated ourselves to unquestionably near elite status and very easily arguably elite status.

    Very, very easily arguable.”

    Not so easily their bud.

Kind of like the opening sequence in a basketball game where Duke is playing an also ran who happens to hit the first shot. They are up on the best 2-0 but by the time the clock runs out, it is 80-42 or some such score. They will always have the brief moment to tell their kids that they were at one point leading the best (and conveniently forget to mention that they got their asses handed to them the rest of the way).

Wait wait wait. You mean someone is already trying to rank this year’s teams for next season? Or is this some kind of just-recruitment thing?

Jee-awff is going to be mad. Free Waffle House for everybody. That’ll get em back in the lead.
