I have thought for a long time that, but for his senseless death, Hendrix would have put out an epic acoustic blues album in his late fifties or early sixties. Just because he could.
What a loss…

Hendrix’ Georgia Blues is an under the radar classic.

He died before I was born. I’m insanely jealous of anyone that got to see him live.

Supposedly he had indicated some intention of working with Duane Allman- I think he’s supposed to have jotted his name down somewhere- and of course, he had some interest in jamming with Emerson, Lake, and Palmer (as H.E.L.P.?), which might actually have happened, according to some. Can’t remember how that question was resolved.

I was always partial to the “Blues” Hendrix album/collection that someone put together late 80s-ish. I know it was not an official album, but I loved that group of Hendrix takes.
