‘Second Tier’

The SEC, where negative recruiting just means more.

Richard McIntosh could feel himself burning when the text message arrived on his phone. It was a picture of what he was told was an Alabama staff recruiting list that had his youngest son in a less-than-flattering place entering the 2018 season.

“The list had a lot of names on it,” Richard McIntosh said, “and Kenny’s was listed under ‘Second Tier.’ ”

… But for this list to come up, purportedly from the desk of an Alabama staff member, was something different.

Gee, I wonder how that got out.

The bonus topper is that ‘Bama wound up signing a kid who was listed as “3rd Tier.”

There’s something off about the 3rd Tier angle of the story. Trey Sanders, said 3rd Tier signee, was the #1 running back in the nation. He was rumored for awhile to be a heavy Florida-lean (because his brother is there), so maybe 3rd Tier didn’t mean “least desirable.”

Well Bama fans, we know it wasn’t Kirby. My guess is it was their “coach-in-waiting” Pruitt.

Maybe Bama labeling Sanders as third tier will give Dell McGee a pass for signing McIntosh instead. I heard message boards were blowing after Lloyd committed to S Carolina yesterday. Fans wanted McGee’s head.

Funny…there was a thread on the ‘turd board discussing this. I believe one of them stated Kirbo leaked it…how he would do that is beyond common sense as he has and is our coach since 2016…

Oh and they claim he will be a bust at UGA as supposedly is “2nd Tier”.
