“lol, holy crap, south carolina”

18th best team in the country struggling to reach bowl eligibility?  So sayeth Bill Connelly.

Boom’s gotta be hoping (praying?) for a favorable uptick in turnover margin this season.

  2. I’m I reading these numbers correctly.?….does USC have a better chance of beating Clemson than UGA. From Connelly’s mouth (or typewriter) to God’s ears. I suppose that’s because of home field advantage but still …me likee.

Not only that, but look at the projected margins versus UGa and Alabama. – USCeast has the (mis)fortune to play the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd ranked (pre-season) teams. Almost makes me feel sorry for ’em.

I think it’s because they play Georgia in Athens and they play Clemson at home..also late in the season when teams with a lot of room for improvement have gelled. Clemson is also SC’s primary rival, although Georgia is certainly a huge rival for them too.
This may be one of the top three toughest schedules of all time.

I don’t mind some idiot tossing a coin and ranking FU up there, but there have been too many indications that they are held in high esteem by many pundits. PTC, I’m with you on that overrating, but I really would like to see writers’ assessments details that accounts for their decision(s). It’s the overrating conundrum of the year.

But have those numbers been adjusted for Sandstorm and September heat?
