If you don’t have tickets, here’s a fun alternative:

The NE Georgia Mountain Chapter of the UGA Alumni Association is having a game watching party at the Tiger Drive-In outside Clayton, GA (i’m the event coordinator for the chapter). Come early, tailgate, watch the game, stay for a movie after the game and you can even camp out right there and leave in the morning. Also lots of neat places to stay close by in the mountains. $10 for adults, $5 for kids. Email me if you need more information dmarkelam@gmail.com WOOF!

That sounds really cool… if I wasn’t already going to the game i would totally check that out… i will for sure pass on the info to some that might be looking for something like that.

I need some conventional wisdom from Barnhart on how loud and crowded Athens might be that weekend

There was a time, when Barnhart’s “5 things” were about the only thing a college football fan got as far as college football coverage during the week, especially pre-season but also a lot of times post-season, and at that point he didn’t seem quite so hokey. To me now he’s like Loran Smith, yeah, he sucks, but he went to UGA, and he’s an institution.

You better head right on back then. There’s no freaking way that’s happening.

Yes, as much as I would love to see the black jerseys 1-2 times a year, this is a red jersey event. Just don’t announce it in advance anymore, we don’t need to tell fans what to wear for the team to know everyone is behind them. Distracts from where the focus should be, imo.

    • Ooo! Black jerseys would be great, as long as its with the red helmets,

As expected. Of course, this means the game won’t end till midnight, but it should be an electric night in Athens. Hope it is hot as it can possibly be too.

So long as the stupid leprechaun mascot is banned, I’ll be happy. Never forget that ND didn’t allow Uga.

Well I’ve basically worked an extra year to get tickets to this puppy. My plan was to sell one and pay for my year but (with the help of some guys here) I’m leaning toward saying the hell with that and taking one of my friends who really want to go! I’ve booked a rig fishing trip out of Venice for the following Tuesday so happy retirement to me!!!

So, which will be the hotter ticket: the 2017 ND game or the 2019 ND game?

Bonus question: will both be eclipsed by the 2020 Bama game?

I understand Direct TV and CBS have had a falling out and CBS has pulled out. CBS is getting $2 per subscriber per month and want $3 per subscriber per month. Like a lot of people I never watch CBS except for SEC football but this could be a problem

According to where you live, it may not be a problem at all. Antennaweb.org is your friend.

I’ve got an HD antenna, so not my problem. Screw’em all!

I only watch CBS for SEC games and the Masters, but that is important enough for me to drop Direct TV next month. Hate to go back to cable, and also lose my DVR recordings Figured this would get worked out but sounds like the negotiators dropped the ball this time.

I just switched to youtube.tv from direct tv and I have been pleased. Even more so that I brought my roku to the mountains so I could watch the open championship and it worked great. Only downside is if you have crappy internet.

You can bet that cbs won’t be breaking away for a commercial at the start of the 4th quarter.
