Instead of taking the approach of Boise State or FSU in Bowden’s early days, they appear too delusional and aloof to sink to that level. They are the emperor with no clothes parading around oblivious. Until they are willing to accept that they are second tier and to go out and EARN first tier respect, they will continue to have only their own illusions to comfort themselves. They will continue to be the fat guy looking in the mirror and seeing Mr. Universe staring back (while we all get a good laugh).
