Getting the week started with a little Dawg porn…

You can read the details from Seth Emerson’s ranking of Georgia’s offensive units ($$) if you’d like.  I’m just gonna leave you with his intro.

… The Bulldogs had seven offensive players named to the preseason All-SEC teams. Never before in program history have that many players made the All-SEC team at the end of the season. So, if it plays out as predicted …

It never does, of course. But as stacked as Georgia’s offense is, the number could actually increase. There will be seven former five-stars on this year’s offense, as well as five more who were top-100 players, and that dandy dozen doesn’t include tight end Charlie Woerner and guard Solomon Kindley, who made the preseason All-SEC team.

Yeah, well, if the Gators don’t wind up taking all those spots…

If you need to be by yourself for a little while, I understand.

I’m expecting a lot of good things from Woerner this year.

If we still used a FB, he’d probably be on the preseason all-sec list too.

agree….if Woerner stays healthy, there will be a lot of people talking about him. He is a nightmare matchup for most all.

      • …if he can avoid getting trucked at the LOS, that’d be great too.

He’s an athlete, not a blocking TE….thinks we use him as such this year.

          • If you think he won’t line up at the line of scrimmage as a traditional TE early and often, I’ve got some swampland in Florida you might be interested in.

Matchups my friend…..depends on the play call, the defense and the assignment on how they use him. Don’t think you are going to see him too many times assigned to a DT (unless there is a double team).

Meant to say earlier that he is more of an athlete than a blocking TE. It does not bother me to see him on an OLB or going after a DB, I like our chances….a steady diet of being assigned to a DT may be another story.

BTW, you can keep your land in Florida.

              • hahahha…good call RE: land.

I hear ya, I just think Kirby is gonna Kirby and Woerner will see his fair share of blocking DEs/OLBs on the LOS. I truly HOPE to see him flex a good bit as I agree with your assessment of his skill level.

Solomon Kindley ended up as the best rated O-lineman in the SEC.

And if Zeus is healthy…and if Pickens is as good as advertised…and if cooks new weight leads to more greater durability without loss of speed…and if Blaylock…

A whole lot of call options on top of a world class o line and a Heisman contending qb and rb tandem. Pretty good FactSet.

Happy to see we got that big OL Lindberg from right down the road here in League City. I’ve seen him on the field. He stands out. Smart kid, too. I know that has to stick in Herman’s craw.
