I’m going to be interested to see if FU’s offensive line can hold up against all of Diaz’s blitzing. To me, the whole game comes down to that.
I imagine Diaz is going to blitz Franks as soon as he gets off the bus in Orlando.

Miami’s o-line didn’t look that great last year either. I’m really curious to see if Tate Martell is the answer they’ve been looking for at QB.

Really good point as well … there’s a reason Ohio State used Justin Fields’ personal QB coach (who also worked with Haskins) as a vehicle to tamper with the Fields’ family when it was apparent Justin wasn’t going to knock off Jake.

Can someone tell me why the road team only get 70? The home team gets to dress up to their full 85, right? I once thought it must be because of cost and travel, but that can’t be it anymore.

It really makes no sense from an economic perspective, and home teams have advantage enough without this. No Power 5 school can legitimately claim financial hardship these days. With players allowed to play 4 games and still RS, why limit the opportunity to basically home games? There could be blowouts in KnoxVegas and on the Plains this season, amirite?

One interesting question about the 70-man travel roster for the Vandy game: How many quarterbacks do we take? Obviously we take Fromm and Bennett. Assuming Mathis is not physically ready to play yet, do we take a walk-on third-string QB like John Seter, or do we only take 2 QBs and use that slot to take another scholarship player?
If we only take two QBs, then we’d clearly need to have someone practice taking snaps in case of an emergency like two QBs getting hurt in the game. Which of our WRs or RBs or DBs played QB in high school? I remember Terrence Edwards taking a few snaps in 2000 or so when Quincy Carter was injured and Cory Phillips was our only(?) QB.

Ben asked above, but I’d like further clarification, please. I’ve long heard about the roster limit for road teams in SEC games, but I don’t recall ever hearing what the roster limit is for home teams is in SEC games. Two questions:
1) What is the limit for home teams in SEC games? There isn’t one, is there? My understanding is that home teams can run out their whole 100+ player squad. Am I wrong?
2) How does this play out for the Cocktail Party? Are both teams limited to 70 players for that game?

This seems like an absurd home field advantage and also potentially a health risk.
