This’ll get your attention.

Check out Georgia’s SEC 2020 opener.

I don’t think Kirby will have any problem getting folks fired up for next season’s start.

Also, you’ve got to hand it to the conference — if one of its powerhouses has to lose a game, better to do so early.

UPDATE:  Here’s the complete schedule.

Credit where credit is due:  there are only two cupcakes on that schedule.  Well done, folks.

Wonder how many times we’ll have to play ‘bama before then?

The Dawgs will need to bring it and bring it hard.

Moving UT to November is bad news for UT I think, they don’t know it yet, but it is. We are usually clicking by then, we’ve won 10 out of 13 against Auburn in that spot, I can’t imagine we’ll do worse against Lulu and Junior.

I see Auburn got the SEC to move UGA earlier in the season. I hope Kirby is getting some of what he wants and not getting run all over like Richt did.

Auburn in October is just wrong.

And now they get to close with back-to-back games vs LSU and Bama. Be careful what you wish for, I guess.
Divisional schedules for contenders are seriously backloaded in ’20.

The B1G+ and PAC have been doing this. It is logical as the other P5 teams want to schedule nonConf games early and it avoids rematches over a short time span. Of course some games can’t be moved like anOSU and Michigan.

I guess they got to flip from both home/away to LSU home, Bama away in ’20. Given the potential tie-breaker implications/winner-take-all-type-environments from having LSU and Bama back-to-back, think i would’ve preferred to keep Georgia there if i were Auburn…. Serves ’em right!

Somebody on the graphics team needs an editor. COFH is in Athens in ’20 — unless McGarity figured out a way to get that game to MBS and flip home-away.

Buy tickets from Bama fans on the secondary market. It’d be awesome to have Saban hosting elite recruits with the headline of UGA lighting up Bryant-Denny

Other than Auburn being out of place I like the schedule. However, S Carolina and UT being late in the season should work out well for UGA. I like a mid level P5 nonConf game in state and 2 cup cakes when UGA goes to a top tier west team.

I am a big fan of 1 P5 out of conf game, 2 cup cakes, GT and a 8 game SEC schedule. The P5 non Conf game should be in the State ideally in Athens when UGA goes to GT and Auburn.

BTW Bama goes to the Jerry Dome to play Southern Cal, then Ga State at home before hosting UGA. The teams should be healthy and in the Top5 going into the game. It’d be awesome to take over Bryant Denny like UGA took over ND.

I would be satisfied if Bama is treating that as a revenge game.

Why is this out so early this year? Hasn’t been out until the 2nd week of Sept for the past few.

I was hoping UK would be the oct 17 date to line up with horse racing. No matter when you go to Missouri there’s not much going on

I’d like to know what Fromm is thinking.
Maybe something like this..”If we can take Alabama down this year, I’ll be satisfied..If not, I’ll stay for that last (maybe two) shots at them in 20.
What a joy it would be to see what JF could accomplish with that fourth year leading the team.
I believe if UGA wins the SEC this year, he’s gone. If not, he might stay. Please, somebody tell me he might stay..even if you don’t even believe it, I need to think some of you do.

Fromm staying or going has nothing to do with the SEC Championship. He stays if he thinks he can raise his draft stock. He isn’t stupid or emotional.

Auburn before Halloween? South Carolina and Tennessee after? Maybe I’ve just officially reached old fart status, but I don’t like none a that at all.

I agree, though, that the conference was wise to schedule UGA-Bama early.

Agreed. Hate the move with Auburn and UT. I’m also used to playing Scarolina early, but I can live with moving them. On the one hand we don’t get to crush their national championship dreams early. On the other, they will be thoroughly deflated by the time they get to us, so the upset potential shrinks.

Sets up a meaningful stretch run though. Starting in Jacksonville they have 4 straight SEC East games and then Tech.

UGA shouldn’t be playing on a Monday unless it’s for the National Title.
