Typical tactic of his, say or do something outrageous to suck all the air out of the room. Shit like this and telling Isreal to deny entry to Tlaib/Omar distract us from news about the economy, his waffling on meaningful gun-control, or the suspect handling of Epstein by the DOJ.

“Waffling” hardly begins to describe his pledge to do something after every shooting atrocity. Yesterday’s call from Lapierre should be the more than worrisome that individuals can threaten his electability to the point that he shits all over the electorate with promises that seem to fade faster than his focus on any problem. Trump is a festering pool of doing nothing except playing golf and even cheating at that when he plays.

Trump is the most unpatriotic and unfeeling person I’ve ever read about and seen in my 79 years on earth.

Trump’s no champion of gun rights. He’s perfectly willing to take the guns first and worry about due process second.

And of course he’s the worst person. He’s literally Hitler. Actually, he’s worse than Hitler. He’s Super Hitler!

We can only hope that in 2020, we can come together to elect a new supreme king who can undo all the things this supreme king did, and then do all new stuff to protect us from ourselves that the next supreme king can’t undo when he gets elected.

    • Obama denied entry to Israel government officials. It was clear that the band Congress reps were going to meet with groups who WANT TO DESTROY Israel. Before you say that one lady was going to meet her grandmother, Israel said she can come in and see her but then she said no. Proving she was just going for political reasons.

  12. going to get flamed but there was a reason for this. While Denmark “owns” Greenland, Greenland for the most part governs itself (it relies on Denmark for defense). China, has been trying to expand its global power to match the West mainly US. China has invested a great deal of money and infrastructure in Greenland. Not a big deal on the face but most of what China is investing has military use as well mainly rebuilding Greenland’s airports. Even Denmark has been uneasy about the China relationship and has spoken to Greenland about it. China’s military leaders have spoken publicly and said the next war they fight will be against the United States. So yeah on the face ti sounds stupid but there is always more to it than the media says.

      The stupid part is:

Planing a trip to Denmark to make a real estate deal.

      Letting it leak.

Looking dumb by cancelling the meeting.

The intelligent thing to do is use the state department to contact Denmark and privately see if there is any mutual interest. If not, no one knows.

This is along the same lines as continuing to ask Merkel to talk about a bilateral trade deal with no apparent understanding that Germany is an EU nation and thus trade talks are with the EU.

Being a humble Georgia boy, I’m not near smart enough to figure out what Trump is doing. What I do know is that a lot of people were laughing at Trump before November 2016. He then pulled off the greatest upset in American political history. After being made complete fools of, those same people continue to laugh at Trump. Even though the economy is great, record low unemployment among blacks and hispanics, destroying ISIS, etc. I guess the racists don’t like the fact that the Trump policies have been so helpful to minorities. So, if you are not a racist, what’s not to love about Trump?

He’s not saying that not supporting Drumpf is racist. He’s evaluating Drumpf on the effect his policies are having are having on racial minorities. Since the effects are positive, he’s suggesting perhaps racists (who presumably want to harm racial minorities) are against Drumpf’s policies, and thus against Drumpf himself.

But it racist to ignore the racism inherent in Drumpf’s existence, which trumps all of his policy effects. Drumpf is white and has a family made up of white people. Obviously, that makes him a white supremacist.

I agree with you. Evaluating a president by the effects of his policies is just staggeringly ignorant.

He planted the seed that folks in Denmark as well as Greenland could be the recipients of a great deal of money. Denmark could be in effect acting as a broker and could earn $10 billion to $25 billion for doing nothing other than signing off on the deal. Greenland has approximately 50,000 adults who could each get a windfall in the hundreds of thousands of dollars… plus an annuity like Alaskans get from oil leases.

You can bet that government officials from Denmark as well as Greenland officials and residents are thinking very seriously about what they could do with all that money. Don’t be surprised if those folks or their wanna be representatives start reaching out to Trump sooner rather than later.

I think what we need to realize about Trump is that he operates and trolls in the same manner Derek does. As long as he can stir the pot and get attention on himself, then he’s winning the game (in his mind). Derek has said so himself. He’s living rent free in your heads. Much the way Trump is living rent free in Derek’s. Eventually, the absurdity allows their critics to make a mistake or they make a valid point (about something totally unrelated)-that otherwise would have been missed- and they pounce. Kudos to you Derek for following the Trump playbook.

For example, instead of discussing how Trump’s tax cuts are literally worse than the Holocaust, we can simply refer to him as Drumpf! See how easy that was? No knowledge of economics or politics is required.

And rather than refer to my nom de plume, “short fatty dick” instantly renders any discussion superfluous. It’s pure genius. Just another example of why Derek is the toast of middle school.

How many other US Presidents paid $25 million to settle a fraud case before taking office? That’s pretty much the definition of a con man, isn’t it?

        • Napoleon BonerFart

Con men in politics you say? Where’s the fainting couch?!? You do know Mr. Smith Goes to Washington was fiction, right?

Credible accusations of fraud and abuse of office have surrounded politics since the foundation of the republic. You believe Trump is more corrupt than Nixon, or LBJ, or Clinton (either one), or Grant? Why?

Maybe I just pay attention. But it doesn’t surprise me when politicians abuse their offices for personal gain. And that applies whether it’s the president or the local councilman, regardless of party. And it cracks me up when other folks seem so genuinely shocked about it.

My cynicism about politics and politicians is one of the reasons I don’t support either party and would love to see the warfare/welfare state dismantled. People voluntarily interacting with each other free form interference by con men claiming the moral high ground to protect us from ourselves may just be a pipe dream. But it seems a more worthy goal than simply trying to support the lesser of undeniable evils in a popularity contest based on who can look the best, sound the best, and make the most unrealistic promises.

While civil settlements do not suggest fault (guilt isn’t the word in that forum, stupid) the price one is willing to pay is suggestible of something. After all Stormy got a pittance compared to that didn’t she?

In addition, are you aware of anything that suggests that Trump University wasn’t a fraud? We know the 25 mil suggests that it was.

Seems to me like the easiest case in the world to win, unless it’s a pretty clear fraud. How hard is it to establish that the students got pretty much what they were promised? It ain’t. Unless you’re defrauding them.

In criminal matters, unless the settlement is for a best interest plea, it is unethical to plead a client guilty to something they did not do. You’d know that if you weren’t, you know, stupid.

Secondly. While $25 million maybe significant to us. It may not be to a particular party in the lawsuit. I’d equate that to me settling a suit for $1,000. While that might not be significant to me. It would be to someone of lessor means.

The largest con by Trump is going unnoticed by the general public, many who never understood the regulations to begin with. He has completely stripped the clean water and air acts, sold BLM land to drillers and littered everywhere with his environmental atrocities.

One of the tenants of Global Warming is the amount of C in the air and how that affects the weather and the global warming. More C added and it begins to act like an irreversible greenhouse effect. Smokestacks are now going unregulated due to Trump, spewing C and screwing us all, not just the dumb shits who don’t try to understand GW. Closed minds and closed ears to understanding begins a process that is irreversible to the earth’s health and all of us that live on it and that will include all our families of Dawg bloggers.

The Science of Ecology originated here at UGA, the first textbook written by Dr.Eugene Odum, Professor, UGA. It has been disseminated throughout the world to discerning minds who have fostered the science to where it is now, a target-rich science written by “do-gooders” (in Trumpland minds) that is being politicized to the lowest unscientific mind level to undoing the public-protective laws written for years, beginning with the Georgia Legislature about 60 yrs ago. Convincing people that their “opinions” are as good as science is a travesty on all our futures and the futures of your progeny. Undoing environmental regulations just because you are jealous of the progress our previous Presidents made by becoming a pedagogue of unlearning for masses of people is a crime against humanity that is unmatched in all of political history. I wonder where the doctors, architects, explorers of the heavens got their knowledge that has helped all our lives?

The crime against our environment is the crime of the ages, aided and abetted by the biggest and dumbest con man the world has ever known: Trump. He is preached from pulpits by anti-science believers of the unknown and is setting a cult world of religion against ourselves; religion that Trump bought admission to through Jerry Falwell Jr.
