Mike Griffith lays out the list of Georgia’s walking wounded:
Georgia injury report for Vanderbilt
DL Julian Rochester (knee), questionable
LB Nakobe Dean (ankle), questionable
DL David Marshall (foot), questionable
OL Jamaree Salyer (ankle/foot), doubtful
QB D’Wan Mathis (head), out
My best guess is that the first two make the trip to Nashville, Marshall is a maybe (from most accounts I’ve seen, the effects from the foot injury/surgery are lingering) and the last two are out. There are also the unnamed cast who won’t travel because of suspensions arising from offseason behavior.
Anything about that make you guys nervous? The good thing, as Griffith notes, is that anyone banged up now will have a couple of games after the opener to heal in time for the Notre Dame game.
Marshall is my biggest concern. Would love to have him 100% now but the stretch run is more important.

Yeah, I’d like to see the DLs get to play, but better now than later in the year.
I’d like to see Dean play just out of curiosity.

Why yes, Senator.
I’d say that many “D” players could be a concern. Probably, not as much as those folks in Florida awaiting a Cat 4 Hurricane…but close.
Sure a lot of those people in Florida are streaming north on 10 and 75 right now. Fuel in south and middle Georgia will get sucked down again.
Think the D will be fine.
Can not wait for the season to get under way!

DL is one of 2 areas of concern for me. UGA needs to be better against the run and that starts at DL. I’d like to see experience from the Vandy game but it does not concern me for the W Saturday.
