Meanwhile, in California

The state legislature there sure seems to have taken Mark Emmert’s warnings to heart.

Oh, it’s passing.  We’ll just have to wait and see where things go from there, but that’s an awfully big state you’re talking about, and there are others, including Congress, right behind it.

It’s usually better to get out in front of these things. The NCAA didn’t. I wonder if the money they saved in the past, will be worth what it cost them in the future for dragging their feet…

How does a state or congress decide ncaa eligibility issues?

For example, could either restore Herschel Walker’s eligibility?

Can a state say players are eternally eligible at its state schools irrespective of any ncaa rule or ruling?

    Alabama might look into that.

God damn, what a recruiting advantage that will be. Kirby needs to kick that same 90-day-records-delay team in the ass and get them on something WAY more important.

    I’m not even joking here.

Kirby might have to share the spotlight. I can see Fromm and Kirby teaming up for those Ford truck commercials. Or maybe just Fromm?

Dude, if Ford thinks that kid will sell them more pickups and want to throw a ton of money at him, hell yes. If I was Kirby, I’d be happy to see him get it, and I’d play that shit up to other recruits. Kirby will make his. I’d like to let the kids make theirs, too.
