The hot take you’ve been waiting for

No, not this one.  But I digress.

You knew Spurrier would have some snark for one on his former assistants taking a 2-10 team into Neyland Stadium and winning.  And he doesn’t disappoint with this:

The “until” is a super nice touch, I think.

I don’t know if this is funnier if Spurrier understands the terms “tops” and “bottoms” in a non-football context, or if he doesn’t. Meanwhile, in Knoxville, they can only dream of reaching a citrus bowl like back in the glory days.

    • Speaking of Jalen Hurts, did it look just like him at Bama? Take the first read or tuck and run. I didn’t watch the whole game, but that’s what I saw. When he comes up against a defense with athletes ready to defend him, will he be able to handle it?

We can now safely say that Tenn has been panned third.

How is there not a reality show following the OBC around and getting his riffs on everything CFB related?

Btw, that Panthers/Volunteers game has replays all over. If you didn’t see it, then you should to appreciate Spurrier’s take. He is absolutely correct saying the Panthers took that game and were the better team. That’s a pro-Panther statement, not a dig at Tenn…well, not much anyway. They ate up UT’s D-line running and ate up UT’s O-line rushing.

This weekend was exactly what UF needed to restore itself to “best team not coached by Kirby Smart in the east.” The east is truly a wreck. ACC bad, as much as I hate to say it.

I really expected the East to improve over all this year…thinking Tennessee would get a small bump up, UF would too…maybe even SC (but with an unmanageable schedule you wouldn’t know), Mizzo would hold their own with KY and Vandy taking baby steps backwards. I guess they could all still improve but weeks 0 and 1 were ugly on almost all fronts.
If I had to pick an SECE team that is better than it looked in week 1, I’d pick South Carolina. Their schedule is going to murder them, but they may be better than UF or Mizzo.
(BTW..there has to be something bad going on behind the scenes in Knoxville…wonder if we’ll hear any rumors of what it is)

This in buckets. I know we all talk down Pruitt as a hot head, etc. But I figured his ceiling was Boom – level and he’d show much improvement this year.

We’ll see how things shake out but he’s looking a cut below Son of Dooley. Ouch

I guess this is as close to Hatin’ Ass Spurrier as we’re gonna get.
