Your Daily Gator knows that hope is the best of things.

Dan Mullen still pines for that sweet transfer waiver for Brenton Cox.  In the meantime,

For now, Cox is one heck of a pass rusher for the likes of Jean Delance and Stone Forsythe to deal with every day in practice. Those are the starting offensive tackles for the gators and both are in their first full year of running with the first team. According to Mullen, Cox is also making sure he remains academically eligible…

Talk about your low bars.

Even if Cox became eligible in time for the Cocktail Party, I don’t see him suddenly deciding he’s going full on 100% effort in that game. In fact, the Louisville transfer on UF’s d-line will probably be more of a headache than Cox the whole year. Dude has million dollar potential but a 5-cent head and attitude.

Added Mullen “He’s staying away from all the negative elements found elsewhere in our locker room”

Coach Mullen you say, “Cox is staying away from the negative elements elsewhere in our LOCKER ROME.” What in the hell is going on in your locker room and what is Cox going to do when he gets to leave the locker room. Damn Coach you must have had a stroke right before you made that statement.

From what little I’ve seen of Ojulari and Nolan Smith I can understand why Cox is elsewhere.

Yeah, Cox wasn’t sniffing the field unless it was special teams, and even that would be a stretch. The fact that the Gators are salivating over him is hilarious, and says a lot about the “talent” in Gainesville.

If we were Georgia, Alabama, or LSU, it would be approved by Friday. No way this is granted for the Gators”

My, how times have changed …be still my heart.
