You ready for pain? Since 2008, Tennessee has as many bowl wins as Vanderbilt.
And it gets worse.
After last week’s loss to BYU, Tennessee has gone 9-17 since opening up the 2017 season with a thrilling win over Georgia Tech. Over that time, the Vols have a grand total of two wins over Power Five programs.
And it gets even worse than that.
Even with the losses to Georgia State and BYU, Tennessee barely gets on the radar to be among the nation’s biggest early disappointments, mainly because no one really expected anything in the first place.
Ouchy ouch.
Not that he’s wrong about any of that.

I remember days when the Vols were relevant. Vol fans use to crow about how they owned Georgia and that we should get back to them when we won a meaningful game. Oh, how the tide has turned.

Maybe they should get back to us when the actually PLAY a meaningful game. Hard to be involved in a meaningful game when you have been relegated to insignificance. You are looked at on Power 5 teams schedule no differently than a mid level group of 5 or FCS team. Ah how the mighty (arrogant) have fallen.

There are just so many great ways to prove how far they have dropped. Think I heard yesterday that TN was something like 25-55 for this decade. Is is bad form for me to not think this has been enough for me? May their misery continue.

I sincerely mean this: there has never been a more obnoxious group to be around than Tennessee fans in the 90s.
They are getting exactly what they deserve.

I will say that we Georgia Fans were damned obnoxious in the early eighties. I suspect that when we win the national championship this year we will be able to show Alabama and other SEC fans what obnoxious really looks like. I’m looking forward to it.

Nah, it was a doctored clip. They spliced him saying “Jeremy Pruitt” with a clip from the Booch era.
Cowherd predicted UGA/Bama like everyone else this year.
