Your Daily Gator has a couple of cracks in the foundation.

A starting wide receiver and Florida’s best defender are out due to injuries, so we’re about to get a taste of Dan Mullen’s team’s vaunted depth.  Obviously, Henderson’s absence is by far the bigger concern, so it’s a real shame that Terry Wilson, who lit up the Gators’ secondary in last year’s game, is gone for the season.

The UK backup is Sawyer Smith, former starter for Troy who was MVP of Troy’s bowl win last year with 320 yards passing. I’m betting he lights up FU’s secondary this year.

He did okay in relief last week. I’m not with you on his lighting them up, but he can probably make enough plays to give them a shot…unless Florida’s offense performs better than I think it can.

Wilson isn’t a great talent but his loss is enough to make KY a non-contender this week. Bad break for the Cats, I am laying the points in this one (and hope I lose my bet because of a big upset in Lexington.) Football gods will probably punish me and FU still wins but doesn’t cover.

Florida’s defense is already too much for UK, but I’ll be happy to be wrong.

Kentuck’s given fu all they can handle the last couple years. So I’m hoping this will be a pretty competitive game.

I once held out hope scu might give bama a game (3:30 Saturday), but I think this will be a 4+ hour exhibition of seal clubbing.
