Thought this chart of ESPN’s FPI remaining strength of schedule was interesting.
That’s ten SEC teams in the top seventeen… but not Alabama (44th).
By the way, given the SOS ranking, Georgia’s 4.5% chance of winning out is actually pretty impressive.
And that’s with Tech dragging it down!

I was just remarking to some co-workers here at UGA that we have a not-shipped-out-to-some-made-up-overpriced-Chick-Fil-A®-advertising-blast-on-campus-non-conference game not named Directional Cupcake Quilting Bee Community College, and I don’t know how to act. Like, are we supposed to be tailgating already? Do we stop working? What’s the protocol for this?

To paraphrase a chat with Dorsey Hill:
“Are you going to work this week?”
“Work?” He screamed back. “You expect me to go back home when we play Notre Dame between the hedges in only five more days?”

4.5% is indeed impressive. Especially since UT and USCe have 0.0 chance and overly highly ranked UF has a mighty 0.1 chance.
Honestly, when we have our heads in the game we look unbeatable. Have to temper my expectations; the opponents to date haven’t been imposing. We will get a better idea after Saturday night.

Seems odd to me that Alabama’s remaining schedule is so much easier than ours. They still have LSU.

Seriously. I much rather have A&M this season.

Clempsun’s is worse than Bama’s. It’s amazing how wretched the ACC is. Sad really.

The ACC is pathetic. So is the SECE..but not to nearly the same degree except for Tennesee..(It felt great typing that). UCF is by far the best program in Florida now (and it felt great typing that too). I’m thinking OK may be the team to look out for in the playoffs. I would love to see Alabama face Hurts at OK..and UGA face Fields at anOSU, but Clemson ain’t going to miss out so we can’t see both of those matchups.

I did not see Bama, Clempsun, THE (non trademarked) osu, or the Okies in the top 20. Of the real contenders, ONLY UGA and LSU are in the top 10 let alone the top 20. Seems cupcakes for all the meals is the way to get to the playoffs.

TAMU’s schedule must be wretched besides Auburn, Bama, LSU, and Georgia. How in the hell are they tenth on the list?

To paraphrase from Fat Albert, A&M and the rest of the SEC West must have nicknamed Arkansas “elevator,” since they’re always bringing everybody down.

How is Alabama 44th? They have to play the same remaining teams that LSU and Auburn do essentially. Only real difference is that their crossover rival is weaker.

Does Bama get rated lower because they do t have to play themselves? Makes no sense.

You nailed it. Bama does not have to play Bama.

This doesn’t make sense to me. Auburn has 17 Tex A&M, 4 LSU, 3 Georgia, 9 Florida, and 2 Alabama left…… Georgia has 7 Notre Dame, 9 Florida, 8 Auburn, 17 Tex A&M left. There must be a whole lotta stock in Kentucky, Mizzou, South Cackalackee, and the Citadel and Georgia State’s whipping boys, (Tech and Tennesssee.) But I do realize on Auburn’s schedule that Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Miss State appear to be suckin right now.

Clemson’s schedule is such a joke. Notre Dame should be in the ACC and Clemson should have to face them every season.
