No, they can’t take that away from him.

I only hope that each of you is loved by someone as much as Mark Bradley loves the fact that Paul Johnson is the last coach to beat Kirby Smart in Athens.

Man, Bradley goes all over here — from Paul Johnson strutting to “Georgia ain’t played nobody at home” to bringing up whether the WLOCP should stay in Jacksonville to Ray Goff.

It’s like Stingtalk bingo or something.

He writes about us only when he can find a way to spin it negatively. I hope was keep up our point spread against everyone including his precious Kentucky.

He’s far more fond of Tech than Kentucky, as must any occupant of the Furman Busher Chair of Bitter Tech Homerism at the AJC.

He got paid to write that. Seriously.

And he praises PJ while ignoring we play the gnats every other year between the hedges, but that doesn’t count as competition. Nice dance between the lines there.

Should I be shocked that he doesn’t know we won 11 games last year?

Fortunately the AJC site is so bloated it won’t load on my phone. It’s a nice way to avoid reading it.

What’s the old adage about a blind squirrel (GT) and an acorn (the rare win against UGA)?

I learned this particular lesson as a teenager. I was playing my uncle ( a baptist minister, and 30+ years older than I) in racquetball. I had won the first three games like 21-2, 21-4, etc. Decided to play the last game left handed, which he won by like two points. For the next 10 years, it was “Who won the last time we played. . . ” Loved that man, but dang. . . ( He was an Auburn fan, too, so there’s is that)

In an interview, Paul Johnson admitted that being the last coach to beat Kirby Smart in Athens made the walk across Mark Richt field in Atlanta slightly less painful.

Paul got waxed in his last game in Sanford Stadium.

It is the reason GT asked for and accepted his resignation.

Only a nerd would mention paul THE johnson winning in Athens. The sumbitch had a 27% winning percentage against the DAWGS. He didn’t win a single game at friendly confines Mark Richt stadium.

So Johnson is the last coach to beat Kirby in Sanford? May it remain that way for a long, long time….
