TFW you do your job and it doesn’t show up in the box score

Great quote from Jordan Davis ($$):

As it was lyrically put by nose tackle Jordan Davis: “If it’s two (blockers) on me then someone’s free.”

And how often are two people on him?

“It’s a lot. It’s a lot, especially as the game picks up,” Davis said. “I remember at one point in the game (against Notre Dame) I had three people on me. And we got a pretty good stop on that one, too. I take pride in that. It’s a real good feeling, an accomplishment, if I have two people on me.”

If it makes you feel any better, Jordan, I saw it plenty on Saturday night.  You more than held your own in that department.

  1. Jordan has become the John Atkins type of nose tackle. If rushing yards are low, generally, you can say the nose tackle had a good game.

I know ND was down a couple of running backs, but it just seemed they really never tried to establish the run. I wonder if anyone has heard if Kelly was asked about that.

Now that’s what you call an unselfish teammate. Continue feasting on blockers and eating up space big fella because you will be a rich man soon.

If there is 3 guys on him and someone free, how are they not getting to the QB and generating sacks and TFLs?

  4. Dylan Dreyer's Booty

He is one of my favorite Dawgs. He is a great story from when Ledbetter predicted great things for him in spite of his relatively low star rating going through his training and weight loss up to now when he basically imposes his will on the first couple of guys in front of him. I know it is about the Jimmies and Joes, but if you are going to get a 3*, get someone like him.

Love that attitude, similar to being a TE at UGA . 😦 Just hope his back holds up, we will be hurting if Jordan doesn’t stay healthy.

  6. I love this! Keep crushing it, Jordan Davis!
