About that whole “100% better” thing

One Vol who hasn’t been better in 2019 is the quarterback.

I guess that means the rest of the team has been more like 125% better.

Kirby, if your defense can’t hold this guy in check, I don’t want to hear about why.  I’m really not in the mood for another Beyond Crompton moment.

Cheney doing Cheney things I suppose.

UGA fans may go to blaming Chaney but the QBs did better than that at UGA as they have on his other stops.

In my opinion Pruitt is blowing up on these kids on the sideline after they make mistakes. He has likely destroyed his QB’s confidence and loosing the other kids as well. Boom has struggled for similar reasons and for similar reason they were both good fiery DCs.

My guess is, given his cerebral approach (/s), he’s doing the Saban ass-chewing on the sideline without all the psychology Sunday through Friday that is the actual important part.

About what you’d expect from someone who reamed his HS coach (his dad, even) when the team lost and also didn’t know what asparagus is as a grown-ass man.

Saban also chews out assistants more often than players, coach the next level down. But yes I agree and especially on the Sun thru Fri bit.

UTk would be better off if Pruitt Let the offense coach the offense.

If this game is anything less than a 1st half blowout I hope its because we have a stomach virus or something similar. There aren’t many valid excuses as to why we don’t thoroughly crush this horrid orange color team this year.

WAAYYYY too early, but this appears to be the strongest team Kirby has had to date. With the exception of special teams that is, fix that & “Katie bar the door”

I agree with part of that, yes, it is way too early to say that based on everything I have seen. I felt coming into this season this was probably the best talent, and depth, I had ever seen….and I have a few miles on me, I have seen a lot. But that assumption was based on reported talent, on the field, they don’t measure up to that. Unless this team is holding back, or yet to peak, this team is not there yet. Hope the off week went well.

I agree with one thing, it is way too early to make that statement. Perhaps in the actual weight room they are the strongest. They are the strongest on paper in terms of talent and depth, but not on the field of play. The 2017 team was much better, and the 2018 team is pretty close. We had all better hope they have more in the tank than we have seen. And this is from someone who came into the season believing they were going to be his best.

I am more worried they have spent the off week getting their backup ready to go.

The best “player” on their team is the cow pasture-like turf, which is more than capable of ending multiple players’ seasons. Just win and come out healthy.

Guarantano has to be bemoaning the fact he doesn’t get to face the Willie Martinez Georgia defense. Nothing could boost a struggling qb’s confidence like facing Georgia back in those days.

That shitty field bothers me more than anything. Come on Kirby open the offense up and keep foot on the gas for 4 quarters. That goes for starters and 2nd stringers. Also DAWG nation come one come all let’s take the lace over!

    Place over

  10. I was amazed at the number of his passes that Florida batted down at the line. Hope our guys took note of that.

Tyson Helton was a better OC and QB coach than Chaney. There, I said it.

I guess the quarterback whisperer needs to speak up….
