Well, Mr. Conventional Wisdom settles it.

Guess I’m cancelling my Amelia Island reservations.  No reason to go now.

Well, unless Kirby and Co have been hiding something, the Gaytors have been playing much better than the Dawgs. I hope they have been.

The team that wins this game has the inside track to Atlanta.

  4. Well, I disagree about Florida playing like a complete team but but they have looked better. At least offensively.

Sometimes the obvious takes are the most painful to hear.

Losing the game and division to Mullen and Grantham, two of most overrated coaches in CFB, with no running game and their backup QB is a very real possibility which seemed unfathomable as little as 3 weeks ago.

    • Perine looks pretty good. Their running game seems good enough to have some balance. I think we have to take advantage of their OL which seems to article at times.

It bothers me that we’re even discussing Florida’s chances now. Early in the season we were taking bets on how bad we would crush them. Our efforts have left the door open to uncertainty. I’m anxious to see just how well we can coach after a bye week. I would really like to hurt their feelings.

I am not ready to consider it that close. How could it be.

Way to go out on a limb there Tony. Such original thinking.

Thanks. And if you ask me, I think the key to that game is going to be how much Georgia’s young receivers grow up over the next 2 weeks.

      Watch out !

Kirby has the better players. Kirby will have to out coach Mullen. If Kirby can’t do the latter, what good will be the former?

Think they are better than Notre Dame.
Probably the best team Dawgs have faced since Bama.
Heard on the street the Falcons could be looking at Todd Grantham.
Next to Swift, best play of the weekend…Altuve in ALCS’s game 6.
Have you ever seen a batter square up the bat and turn on a pitch so quickly.
That was pure lightning…could tell it was leaving from the bat sound!

Pete a golf buddy of mine here in CLT. He loves him some Mullen. Says best offensive in SEC and would be the best in football if he could recruit.

  15. FU is a better team due to the change at qb,.as stated on GTP, the outside speed and db’s are quality…early thought here is 17-21 points may not be enough for a UGA victory

    Fuck that LSU tiger.
So glad this is the prevailing media attitude.
The Dawgs in the Panhandle are ready to roll east and take down the Turds.

UF is playing better and has improved with the new QB; however, UGA will trot out the best defense they have faced all year. Auburn has a great D but that game was in the swamp. I’m still not sold on the LSU defense either. I think the UGA D will hold the Gators down. Bottom line: if the Dawgs don’t turn it over or allow a big plays on D, they win the game! it’s that simple and I don’t care how conservative the offense is. I would love to see them open it up; but it comes down to TO’s and giving up big plays!

The FU result is not as certain as it looked in the summer, or even after that horrid game they played against Miami in Week 0. But I still feel we will win it, but the increased doubt is more from what we have strugled with than anything they have done. Their OL and running game still looks bad, as expected, and their receivers are still the bigger threat offensively.

FU’s two best defenders are hobbled with injuries but I would expect at least one to be back, maybe close to full strength. That should not stop our running game though, assuming we use it correctly. Who knows about our passing game, but if we get Cager and Jackson back, they look vulnerable to the pass, assuming our crack OL decides to show up. My guess is we will have enough offense to win, and our defense will be the bigger concern because of our weakness defending the middle with our LBs. Would have put our chances of winning around 90% in the summer, down to about 65% now. Odd, but that fall off is more because of our inconsistent OL play, imo. I have no doubt Kirby will have this team ready, more so than for any team on our schedule. KS really don’t like him no Mullet, and he gets this rivalry.

The team that scores the most will likely win.

    • Look Barnhart, you’re not allowed to use two different handles. Behave yourself …next thing you know you’ll be predicting that if it rains in Jacksonville it will be wet on the field. Keep em coming.

Didn’t Florida give up 175 yards rushing to one back? Didn’t Scar have open receivers that their young QB just missed? Looks to me more that Scar wore out at the end. I’m not saying Georgia is going to roll, but every team has problems. Take a chill pill. I still think Kirby is pissed at Mullen’s stupid rants all summer and has that in the back of his head for this game. I expect a very motivated team and staff.

Why boo our team? You might think you are booing the coaches, but the coaches do NOT hear the boos. But the players certainly do. The best I remember, UGA started every drive at our own 10 to 15 yard line for 3/4 of the game. Our D is playing great. Why take dumb chances with the ball in those situations? I don’t understand why fans no longer are proud of great defensive’s games.. UGA gave up zero fucking points in that game, booing is not justifiable. Enjoy the great D and you have ever right to complain to the Senator about UGA’s offense, but booing just sux. Also the goose egg by the D was the first since 2010. That is nine years my friends. The D should get a standing ovation.. Not boos… That booing says much more about us the fans than it does about our team.
