The most famous of which is “never get involved in a land war in Asia,” but only slightly less well-known is this:
“Never go in against Les Miles when game winning special teams are on the line!”

Was he pitching the ball to the ref behind him? Maybe saw him in the corner of his eye and thought he was a team mate? Had he just downed the ball he would have been a hero…hotdogging it backfired.

Dude could actually have returned that for the game-winning TD (he had a clear lane) if he hadn’t been so fixated on lateraling.

If he was paid for his NIL, he doesn’t make that bonehead play in order to preserve his image. Or maybe he does trying to improve his image if it worked. Hmmmmm……
At least there is no threat of gambling involved….oh wait.

Have to tip your hat to the the “grass monster”, who could have imagined what Kansas has accomplished with that roster: a road blowout in Boston, taking “we’re back” Texas to the final ticks of the clock, finding a way to survive TT. CFB always seems to deliver these types of stories, every year, and usually every month. Good for those kids who stayed, or transferred, to that long forgotten program and ,often ridiculed, old coach.
BTW, keep your eye on K State, the new coach from North Dakota State pulled the biggest upset of the year, primarily because it really didn’t look like an upset as it was occurring.

K-State has always had a good program and it looks like it is getting better with the new HC.

Worst bonehead mistake I have ever seen made by a player. I feel sorry for the kid, though.
