TFW your head coach is being a fan

Kirby had the exact same reaction to Herrien’s catch that I (and everyone sitting around me) had.

LOL, indeed.

My exact words, too. Even the Gators in the room were in awe. I really thought the refs would overturn it in retribution for the Cager confirmation.

This clip could also work for the Premier League quality flop executed by Isaiah Wilson on the encroachment call.

Herrien makes this catch and Landers couldn’ catch a biscuit if he was starving to death. I would find him a permanent seat on the bench and leave him there. He has never done anything at Ga. since he has been there. It baffles me why they even have him in the game!!!!!!!

AMEN!! If Landers had given 1/2 the effort to extend that Herrien did, then he would have at least had a realistic chance for TD. Instead it went off his finger tips. Herrien always gives it everything he’s got. When he leaves UGA no one will wonder what could have been if he had exerted himself. He leaves it all on the field. One DGD!!

Herrien = 100% effort all the time. I thought Fromm was throwing that one away but Herrien didn’t quit and make probably the best catch of the year.

  9. Brian Herrien … DGD. He has labored behind some studs and just kept working when he could have jumped to the transfer portal for playing time. He is one of those guys who deserves a big round of applause of “Thank you” from Dawg Nation before the Texas A&M game. My daughter says she sees him all of the time on campus.

Special young man, he was against all odds from the first time I every heard of him. He is a fighter and he delivers, time after time. Always be one of my favorite Dawgs, hope he succeeds wildly in life. He should, he is a winner.

The politics of CFB will arrive at our court soon. The Coach’s Poll has us at #6 and while waiting for the AP, I’m willing to bet that the ESPN voting crew will tip the scales to Oregon slotted between us and Penn St. Otherwise, our position is great at 6th with two teams above us waiting for a defeat. OSU vs Penn St and ‘Bama vs LSU will clear the way for us to be in the consideration back into the top 4 as long as we keep winning and impress the Select Four Committee enough to establish us in the forefront after next week.

Of course, when the AP comes out we will have a better idea as to someone being slotted between our road back to the 4. That may go the way of bullshit once the committee weighs the competition facing Oregon and Georgia to gives us the nod based on other than a lot of CFB politics orchestrated by our OSU “friend(s)” at ESPN.

    First, there’s Mizzou.

Our road goes through Athens, Auburn and Atlanta. Win there and we are guaranteed to be in the playoffs. Lose any of those and we’re guaranteed to be out of the playoffs. The polls are meaningless.

Doesn’t the Committee take the polls into consideration as part of their differentiation process? Was sure that I read that somewhere when they were listing the areas that are used to develop their ballot. Now that the AP has us 6th, our road map is in place for full consideration as we play those games one-at-the-time.

What the hell is holding up next week? This dragging on is a coach’s fault and we won’t stand for it!

And we barely nosed out Oregon in the AP so they will be reaching over our shoulder to knock on the Committee’s door Tuesday.

Much ado about nothing. If we win the SEC, we will be in; if we fall short of that, we are out. We control our own destiny, and I am good with that.

Beat Auburn, and Oregon isn’t a problem. Oregon lost to Auburn at a neutral site. If we beat Auburn at Auburn, that’s it for taking Oregon over us. If we lose to Auburn, there’s no point in worrying about the committee anyway – even if we were to go on and win the SECCG, they wouldn’t take a 2-loss Georgia team. They’d take the 1-loss loser of the LSU-Alabama game instead.
