Jake Fromm’s very good day

By the way, one thing Matt Hinton highlighted about Jake Fromm’s performance against Florida is this:

Coming off 2 of his worst games, Fromm responded in the Bulldogs’ most crucial regular-season test with undeniably one of his best, turning in the weekend’s highest-graded performance vs. a Power 5 opponent, according to ESPN’s QBR metric.

Admittedly, that was only in a setting where the divisional lead was at stake against Georgia’s biggest rival.  Savvy Dawg fans know the only QBR that really matters is what gets posted at G-Day.

On “Thinking Out Loud” last night they let the show with Jake’s QBR versus Florida in 3 games: 97/100!

I don’t submit to this notion that the Kentucky game was one of Fromm’s worst. He did exactly what his OC and head coach asked him to do. He didn’t throw picks (or worse, a pick-6) and he didn’t fumble. He led his team to a win in awful conditions and didn’t harm his team in the process.

Yes, what else does anyone want? If you take away SC’ giveaway, would anyone be upset with a 3 TD victory and zero turnovers in a monsoon? Everyone confuses one weird night against SC, wipe out that aberration and what do you have? Nada.

If anyone gripped a football in HS as a qb you would know that was a bad day for tossing it around. I say, damn, look at the final score. We beat a SEC opponent pretty soundly. Fromm is a team guy and okay with not having huge stats, just wins. Relax.
