Cold shower time

My Gawd, Bill Connelly’s advanced box score for the Georgia-Georgia Tech game is sexually arousing.

Outside of turnover margin, the game was a complete wasteland for the Jackets.  Just about every conceivable break went Tech’s way in the second quarter, and it still finished with a 28% success rate.  And a 0% success rate in the first quarter!

Hubba hubba.

So, basically, had Georgia not turned the ball over, Tech would have scored -0.6 points, right?

Fuck…nerd football is gonna use that turnover margin against UGA in recruiting, we’re doomed i tell ya, might as well move to another state with no WH’s, can’t walk the streets of the 404…NOT!

  2. If Blaylock doesn’t fumble that punt, Saturday may have ended up as the kind of beatdown that would have made Fech end their football program.

But StingTalk will see the turnover margin and 4th quarter SR as reason to believe we should be terrified of where Collins is taking the program.

I’m done advocating for dropping Tech (this is kinda fun after all), but for all practical purposes we have a permanent FCS team on our schedule. A 9th permanent “Power5” slot on the calendar is not supposed to weaken your schedule / resume.

It’s literally a no win situation….IF they can get to .500 or so, maybe it gets better..but honestly, it gets less hype than most any big instate rivalry.

I’m not advocating dropping them, for one, what do you replace it with? We’ll just keep playing the miserable bastards and like it.

Look, they play in the ACC. I don’t think it’s too much to ask for them to rise above the rest of the ACCesspool and come in to our game with a false sense of hope and accomplishment that we can rid them of in a hostile and merciless manner. That’d be much more satisfying, plus we might get out of the noon time slot and the possibility of having to listen to Beth Mowins.

  9. Was Georgia Tech the worst team we played all year? Possibly worse than Arkansas St? Murray St?
