Twist the knife, asshole.

The committee made the right call. We’d get demolished by any of the four playoff teams just like we did last night

Agree. So will Oklahoma. Big difference between top 3 and everyone else

I’m not as sure as you are that OU is a pushover.

Not so much that they are a pushover. More that Jalen is the same guy he was at Alabama except more prone to turnovers, and Aranda knows him inside out.
And LSU hangs 50+ on defenses like OU’s (fringe top 40).

He did explain that the reason UGA was brought up was because they had been number 4 last week. I think the discussion was over in 2.5 seconds.

Why the hell would anybody pick us after watching last night?

Holy crap! If that is true it just shows how screwed up th committee system really is.

They got it right. After last night, I don’t see us competing very well in the playoffs. I hate to say that, but that’s where I’m at. We didn’t deserve it. I know everyone gave all they could, and I don’t question the players’ heart… but just too many issues.

We are number 5 in both polls. There are a group who posted last night who are the reverse Dabos. Dabos says polls underrate Clemson. Those GTP folks say that the polls greatly overrate UGA. After all, according to them, UGA is a disaster.

Yesterday WAS a disaster.
But people love to generalize from the moment.

As they should have. Georgia is not a playoff team.

I can’t think of a single compelling case to make for a rematch of Georgia vs LSU in Mercedes-Benz. It’s not fair to LSU to make them win that game twice. It’s also not fair to the 1 seed to give them a de facto road game. The ratings would be atrocious. Georgia is now a shell of the team that walked out of Bobby Dodd a week ago.
The committee would have been better off giving LSU a bye than they would putting Georgia at 4.
