Wish you were here.

Agree or disagree?

Routine transfers have certainly made things more interesting.  Who’s to say LSU and Ohio State would be having the same kind of year without their new QBs?

Speaking as a Georgia fan, they have any more of those Heisman finalist QBs?

3 out of 4 CFP finalists have transfer qb’s. Amazing

3 players is too small a sample size to come to that conclusion. need to evaluate the entire landscape over a 4 year period.

  7. The portal is fine. The waiver process is completely broken. Either everyone gets to play immediately or no one. It shouldn’t be a pick and choose thing.

This is on point, NCAA has proven totally incapable of handling the waiver process (among many other things.) I had supported the “for cause” provision but they have made a mockery of that in so many instances. So many things in life are not fair, the one year waiver for those worthy of it is just another where the greedy make it harder on the deserving. Sit out a year, or find a 1AA school to play, there are many options and the pros will find you if you are good enough.

Let them play immediately. Do coaches have to sit a year when they change jobs? Seriously, what is the rationale nowadays for making a player sit a year?

Seriously? You don’t see the problems with a fruit basket turnover if you make it a free for all? Sorry, but you, and others who don’t see how ridiculous that would be, are totally blind to what will ensue by opening Pandora’s Box with no restrictions.

I don’t think the portal will be a bad thing until you say “do whatever your teenage minds would like with no consequences”. Enforce the 1 year no-play rule 100%, and let the portal be the way players can find new schools, and new schools can find players, with no permission required from current coaches. Might also want to put a limit of one time only in as well. CFB will fail under your idea, it already has many devout fans cooling off as we move way from the model that has worked so well. But then, what is so different given the “burn, baby burn” movement in this country? And you can’t put Humpty Dumpty back together again, we will never regain what many want to tear down with such callous disregard.

If Prather Hudson wins the Heisman next year, I’m gonna be pissed.

    • Watching special teams over the last couple of games 24 was always around the ball. Even through a margarita fog I’d think to myself: “Huh. There’s 24 again, he’s always around the ball.” You have to like guys like that.
      Good luck, Prather.
